Valentine's Projects

I want to share with you a few of my creations from Valentine's Day!

Of course my kiddos wanted to do some of the more traditional valentines.
They enjoyed writing their names on them themselves!

This is the box and card I made for my husband. I know, I know - it is very pink but it was for Valentine's Day after all. And he really liked it. The box is sitting on his desk at the office.

I think he ate the chocolates in one sitting. LOL!

I know these mailboxes from Target have been a round for several years now but it is always fun to make them. This year all the girls in my youngest son's Pre-K class got them as well as both boy's teachers and one more for a dear co-worker.

The little frog embellies came from HL. Just too cute!!!

This little purse is a cut file from SVGCuts.com. It comes from the Sunny Weekend Purse collection. There is a link to the store under the store tab on the right.

I made this one for another dear co-worker and friend.

These little favor boxes are an SVG file from the SCUT Forum. I made about 40 of them to finish off treats for the boy's friends, for co-workers, and for Jeremy's office secretaries. I really like how they turned out and they were so easy. I was able to make 4 from one 12x12 piece of cardstock. Easy peasy!!!

Of course pink was not going to work for the boys in either of my kids' classes

so I made some from Star Wars paper.

Sports Mini

Well there are a lot of sports I like to watch but none more than the ones my kids are the stars of. My oldest played T-ball in the Spring and both boys played soccer in the fall. I made this album as a Christmas gift but I was not finished with it so it was opened half done and I had to promise I would get it in the mail ASAP! I hope to make it to the Post Office tomorrow.

I am entering this album in the challenge over at Paper Cutz. Challenge #73 is to make a card, LO, or project using metal.

My Supplies:

DP: We R Memory Keepers MVP 12x12 & 6x6 stacks

Binding: Tim Holtz Grunge Board and Memento Ink pads

A few different black ink pads for distressing

Embellies: Metal buttons and key brads from Spare Parts that I had in my stash, grunge paper, and chipboard and diecuts from the 12x12 stack.

Closure: Something I picked up at HL on clearance. (Don't remember the brand.)

I used my Cricut and the Fabulous Finds cartridge to cut out both my small and large tags.

My black cardstock is from Gina K Designs. Love the heavy weight of it!!! It cuts fabulously in my Cricut!

I also used the We R Memory Keepers MVP stamp sets as well as some flourish stamps that I don't remember where I got.

I didn't put pictures of all my pages on here, but I think I got most of them.

I did my brown paper bags differently by gluing the sides shut so that they would not flap open wide. It did not allow for embellishments on the tags but I liked it much better. To me it gave it a cleaner look.

This album was so fun to make!!! I want to thank so many of you out there in blogland who have shared tutorials on making brown bag minis. I have been inspired. I want to thank especially Laura over at the Paper Trail whose YouTube videos and blog have been thoroughly picked over by me for ideas! Totally Frightful Mini Album

This album was so much fun to make. I really enjoy Halloween and nothing has been better than watching my own kids experience the wonders of dressing up and going door to door collecting buckets of candy. I wanted to start recording those memories in special albums and was excited to find a template and video tutorials over at the Bug Junkie that helped me to get started. I was no longer able to locate the cut file on the left side of her blog as I downloaded it awhile back but if you search her blog you may have a bit of luck finding it.

I am entering this project in four challenges:

For this project I used various DP and embellies, PDDU cartridge, MS punches, and many other supplies. If anyone would be interested in seeing inside the pages I could post some pics when I get a chance. Thanks for taking a peek.
