Well, I had a whole series of cards planned for you today using the dog from the Love Letters 2 file and a few of the Stuffy Pals, but alas life happened and one of my babies has been running fever since Friday night. Poor thing hasn't been able to do much but lay in bed and watch cartoons. He even missed his all-star game for basketball yesterday (Both my boys had made the all-stars! Proud momma!!!). He was so disappointed he didn't get to go though. Anyway, be looking for some more Stuffy Pals cards coming soon!

But today's card is no disappointment. I just love how it turned out!!! This mailbox file can be used for some many cute ideas and I hope you will give it a try. This is an A2 card with a background paper from My Mind's Eye that I had in my precut mat stash from my paper scraps. (I do not know the name of the collection - sorry!) The sentiment (Simple Sayings) is from Jaded Blossom.

Today's gift box uses a cut file from Treasure Box Designs called Vertical Border (Kiss Me)!

Kiss Me, Indeed! How cute is this for anyone looking for their prince charming! I think it would be a fun gift box to give to a teenage girl and we all know how hard it is to come up with anything for teenagers!!! LOL!!!

The box is from SVG Cuts. It is just called Simple Box and is in their freebie section. I cut the top of the box using a paper from Doodlebug Design's new Sweet Things collection. The bottom of the box was cut with the same cardstock used to cut the toad. The toad and the hearts are from the Treasure Box Designs file. The banner (Mini Die Cuts 2) and the sentiment (Simple Sayings Valentine Edition) are from Jaded Blossom. The sentiment is a combination of two sentiments from the stamp set - I did some masking to get it to say what I wanted.

These giraffes are just adorable!!!

For the color scheme, I wanted to add a non-traditional color into the mix. I like red and pink, but my favorite color is blue in all of its lovely shades!!! When I found the background paper in my scrap bin, I knew I had to use it!!! It has a nice touch of blue in it. That little bit of blue allowed me to cut my heart in a card stock to match. The background paper is from Reminisce and is called My Love. The You + Me sentiment (Simple Sayings Valentine Edition) is from Jaded Blossom. I think I will be giving this one to my hubby!

I am always grateful to Dina at Treasure Box Designs for partnering with me so that we can share some fun inspiration with you and, of course, some fun giveaways too!!!

To download the electronic file, head on over the Treasure Box Gems FB group and join. Once you have joined, find the post that says Download and hit that button and it is all yours. The freebies change every Tuesday, so pick this guy up by Monday, February 1, 2016. 

This is my 2nd project this week using a gable box. They are the perfect size for giving a small gift or a bit of chocolate goodness to your Valentine! I just sized my Lovebug to fit the front of the box and offset him with his heart file. The gable box is from Annie's Paper Boutique and so is the twine that I used to tie the tag to the top of the box. The scalloped circle die and the tag die (Mini Tag Dies 2), the Love is in the Air sentiment (Simple Sayings Valentine Edition), and the 2 small hearts stamped on the tag (Heart Splatters) are all from Jaded Blossom.

For the card, I cut the base at 4.75" square. The background paper is from Doodlebug Design's new Sweet Things collection. I also used this paper to make the 4 panels on the above gable box to decorate the sides. The XOXO sentiment (Valentine Designer Tapes) is also from Jaded Blossom.

The Lovebug is so super easy to paper piece! I hope you will make him to put on one of your Valentine gifts. He is sure to bring a smile!!!

Valentine Gable Box!

Top of the Tuesday morning to you!!!

It's my day to post over on the Jaded Blossom blog and I have a cute gable box to share using a technique that I have never tried before - stamping on canvas.

I took a kraft gable box from Annie's Paper Boutique and cut a red canvas sheet to make some panels for the sides. Before adhering them, I used some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped on the design to the canvas using the new JB Heart Splatters stamp set. I then took the JB Luggage Tag Dies and cut the back layer using a sheet of kraft paper and cut the top layer using the red canvas again. I took another stamp from the same JB Heart Splatters stamp set and again stamped a background. Then I stamped the heart from the same set onto another piece of kraft paper and fussy cut around it. I adhered it to the tag with pop dots. The love sentiment was die cut from the new JB Alphabet Dies and glued on to finish off the tag and then it was tied to the top of the box. I also added a sentiment to the box using the JB Simple Sayings Valentine Edition stamps. This is a great box to stuff with chocolate treats or a small gift. And I am so glad that the stamping on canvas was a success for me. Yeah!!! I really like how it turned out.

Cup of Hot Cocoa, Anyone?!!!

 So I whipped up this sweet cup of cocoa! It makes me want a cup of the real thing it looks so good!!!

I definitely could use some cocoa today too as it is cold here; 25 degrees and light snow flurries. And you can tell by my photo that there is no sunlight to be had. Haha! The cocoa cup card is from My Scrap Chick and, yes, it whips up fast!!!

And now for my project! 

I made this Arched Nugget Polar Bear Heart container from SVG Cutting Files! Isn't it just too cute!!! And, of course, I spiced it up with some great Jaded Blossom products. I used the new Valentine Panels from this month's release for the hearts on the strip of red paper over the candies inside the box. I also used the Mini Tag Dies 2 for the banner and the sentiment is from Simple Sayings Valentine Edition. The background paper that is on the arch is from My Mind's Eye Heirloom collection.

My Sweetheart Stuffies Elephant!

Have you seen the new Stuffies collection of cut files over at Treasure Box Designs?! They are absolutely adorable!!! I just feel head over heels for this elephant and there are many others on my to make list!

For the background on my card, I used a piece of cardstock from the Basic Grey Lemonade 6x6 paper pad and stamped it with the a stamp several times from the new

 Jaded Blossom Heart Splatters stamp set. I then attached my elephant using foam tape. I die cut a banner from Jaded Blossom's Mini Tag Dies 2 set and stamped it with a sentiment from Simple Sayings Valentine Edition.

This would be a super fun card for may on your list!!

Jaded Blossom's January Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone! 

Welcome to Jaded Blossom's January 2016 Release Blog Hop.

I decided to make 2 projects - one for the fan of the 3D project and one for those who love to make cards. I had a lot of fun making both!!!

Ya, I know that strawberries are suppose to be red, but that's what I love about making my own. It can be any color I want and I just thought that this paper was too delicious not to use!!! I have had it in my stash for awhile and finally found that project that it had to be used on! The strawberry is from SVG Cuts Sweets for My Sweet kit. I added some crinkle ribbon to the top. I then stamped the 'Everything is Better Covered in Chocolate' sentiment from the new Chocoholic stamp set on a banner and attached it. The kisses are attached to a die from the Mini Tag Dies 2 set that is stamped with a heart from the new Heart Splatters stamps.

Here is the side view so that you can see it's chocolate covered sides!!! Yum!

The card is 4.5" x 4.5" and uses paper from the My Mind's Eye Union Square 6x6 paper pad. I took the red sheet of paper and made my own background using the new Heart Splatters. I then stamped a black sheet from Union Square with the arrows from the new Valentine Designer Tapes. I cut out the cupid SVG Cuts Sweets for My Sweets kit and used foam tape to attach him. Then I stamped 'Be Mine' from Simple Sayings Valentine Edition onto a diecut from Mini Tag Dies 2.

Here's what I created for you today!

I used the Luggage Tag Dies and stamped this month's Wishing You... freebie image onto red cardstock and die cut the back layer in black. I wanted to attach it to an A2 size card so I used a black card base and used My Mind's Eye's Lost & Found Union Square collection for the background. I used an image from the Valentine Designer Tapes to make a faux piece of washi tape using the same red cardstock and attached it toward the bottom. I then stamped the XOXO sentiment along the top right portion of the card which is also from the Valentine Designer Tapes. I love the font for the XOXO sentiment and I know I will be using it a lot!!!
