Hey, Yall, it's Fall!!!

Sharing a one page LO today using a couple of really cute files from

Treasure Box Designs!!!

Don't you just love fall. The colors of the season are an array of beauty that is just unmatched. And I so enjoy the weather - the cooler temps and the late rains. It is a time of blessing and abundance.

This LO will be perfect for showing off your favorite picture from the Fall Festival or Pumpkin Patch. Or maybe you caught some great shots of your kiddos frolicking in the leaves in your front yard.

I used some great papers from Doodlebug Designs on this. Each of my piecings was made with quality cardstock and hand inked and chalked for dimension. Several of the pieces were attached with foam dimensionals. I used Trendy Twine for the Totally Orange twine and Punkin Patch stamps for the sentiment (no longer made).

The two files used from Treasure Box Designs are "Hey Yall it's Fall" and "Bushels of Fun." Both can be found in the Fall section of the store.

This LO is for sale on my eBay page here.

Thank you for dropping in today. I hope you enjoyed my LO! If you are interested, you can find more of my work on my Facebook or Pinterest pages.

Blessings,

Mr & Mrs - Bridal Shower Card

Wow, this has been a slow month for me in a crafty sense. I do have a few projects finished, but I haven't found the time to share them. I hope to remedy that in the next few days!!!

Today I have a card to share though. We had a wonderful bridal shower at the church this afternoon to celebrate the marriage of a beautiful young couple. Those who put it together did a great job! I wanted to make a card to give today since my gift was being shipped directly to them. As I was thinking about what to make, I remembered a card that Vivian Lake had made as a DT project for the PDE Linky Party a couple of months back. Yes, I'm even inspired by my DT sisters!!! Vivian does such wonderful work and I knew that I wanted to design my card after the fashion of hers.

I started with a 5x5" card base using a 110# cardstock. The black layer is cut at 4 3/4x4 3/4" and then the designer paper from Recollections Valentine 6x6 pad was cut at 4 5/8 x 4 5/8". The border strip is about 1 1/2" in height. The Mr and Mrs cut file is from Miss Kate Cuttables and is layered on red, pink and white cardstock. I used three self-adhesive jewels to add a finishing touch. The jewels didn't photograph well at all though and the photo makes me think of sauder spots.

For some but not all of the inking on this card, I actually used something beside my favorite Memento inks. I have recently bought some of the Mini Distress Ink kits and used a couple of the colors here.

If you want to see Vivian's original card, you can find it on this PDE Linky Party post here.

Thank you all for dropping in today.

Blessings,

Get Well - PDE Linky Party

Hey, All!!! It is another Friday post for the PDE Linky Party!

And this week's theme is Get Well!

With Halloween coming up, I have witches and goblins and everything spooky on the brain. So when I made this project, I couldn't help but go in that direction.

The tissue box was made using a tutorial I found on the Splitcoast Stampers site. To add some dimension to the box itself, I broke out an embossing folder and ran the panels through my Cuttlebug. I then took some silver ink and lightly ran it over the sides to add some color to the impressions. For my opening at the top of the box, I used a Spellbinders Label 10 die. The Skull and Crossbones file is from Miss Kate Cuttables. For the sentiment, I used a die from the Spellbinders Nested Pennants set and stamped Get Well to it.

I wanted to print out a sentiment that says, "Don't Die"; but maybe that would have been too much. LOL! Hope you enjoy my project and that you will give it or something similar a try. Have a great weekend and don't forget to drop by the PDE Linky Party with your Get Well projects.
