You've Been Boo'd!

It's time for another

The theme is Halloween Treats!!! This one will be fun as we are all getting those last minute treats ready for school parties and such!

I have always liked the idea of secretly leaving a treat on the neighbor's door, ringing the bell, and running off. I haven't done it, but this year I have at least made the boxes. Maybe I'll let the kids give it a try as we have several widows as neighbors.

So here they are:

Can I say, "EASY to put together!!! The box itself is two pieces of paper - the top part of the box and the bottom part. Glue some tabs on both pieces and slide the top over the bottom. Done!!! Nothing better than a quick treat box!!! The box is from SVG Attic's Halloween Character Boxes. The paper for the ghosty top is from Doodlebug Design. It is the Kraft in Color White Woodgrain. It is one of my favorite papers. Anyway I had started these late one night earlier this week. I made the first box with a plain white top and it took me two seconds to say, "No, that's just not going to work! I need a patterned paper!" My next thought was that my local craft store a block down the street carries the Kraft in Color collection year round. So the next morning I was off to pick some up. I'm so glad I did. I really like how they turned out. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Stamps' Bewitched set. It was stamped onto a Labels Ten die from Spellbinders.

Here is a close up of one of them.

So glad you came by today!!! Hope to see you again soon!

Don't forget to link up your treat boxes this week at PDE Linky Party!

Blessings,

Candy Corn Kisses!

Happy Tuesday!!! My Royals won again today, so we are up 3-1 in the ACLS. I'm very excited and hoping we make it back to the World Series this year and, of course, hoping for a better outcome than last year. I can't help it, but I love baseball - I have since I was a kid!!!

Well, I am still working on 31 Days of October projects. I have Day 20 for you today and I am so excited about how this card turned out. It is just too adorable!!!

The file I used for this is Candy Mouse from Treasure Box Designs. It was a freebie a couple of weeks back, so now you can find it in the $1 section of the store.

I am thrilled when a card comes together so easily. I knew I had the perfect sentiment the first time I saw this mouse. And then today, it only took one quick flip through the Doodlebug Design's October 31st paper pad to find this paper. The card is A2 size. The banner is from Spellbinder's Pennant set and the stamp is from Scrappy Mom's Stamps.

So glad you were able to stop by today. Now I have company coming in town this weekend so wish me luck that I get my house clean and have time to do several projects before Thursday afternoon. If I don't get my crafting done before they come 31 Days in October might not happen. But I'm so excited about who's coming that it will definitely be worth it!

Treasure Box Design's Howl-O-Ween Blog Hop

If you are looking for the winner of the Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop, it is one post down!

Yeah, today we have had a Facebook Hop going on. The Treasure Box Design Team got together and came up with lots of fangtastic projects using Halloween files from the Treasure Box Designs store.

You can head over to the Treasure Box Designs Facebook Page to start the hop. There are lots of fun prizes to be won at each stop and three grand prizes from Treasure Box Designs.

Here is my project:

I used the Little Gems Pumpkin Kids from Treasure Box Designs for my project. They are just adorable!!!

Both cards were made using Doodlebug Design's paper from the Ghouls and Goodies collection and the October 31 collection. For the banners, I used a Spellbinder's die and stamped them with a sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. To finish off the little girl, I used a bit of Trendy Twine to make bows for her shoes. The mouths were both stamped using Peachy Keen face stamps.

You still have a bit of time to join us for the hop. I hope to see you over on my FB page!!!

Black Cat Halloween Gift Bag!

I hope your Sunday has been a blessing! It warmed back into the 70's here and was so nice.

I have a gift bag to share with you today. I actually made this a few weeks ago, but I have not been able to photograph it well, Today's photo is the best one I've gotten, so I am just sharing!

The bag is from SVG Cuts' Catacomb Manor collection and stands 11" tall. To make the bag, I used a pattern paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Halloween collection. The Black Cat file is from Miss Kate Cuttables. I stretched her out just a bit to make her fit. The tag is from the Spellbinder's Pennant dies and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Meow and Forever stamp set. This bag looks so awesome in person. I can't wait to fill it with a fun gift and give it away!!!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Get Well - PDE Linky Party

Hey, All!!! It is another Friday post for the PDE Linky Party!

And this week's theme is Get Well!

With Halloween coming up, I have witches and goblins and everything spooky on the brain. So when I made this project, I couldn't help but go in that direction.

The tissue box was made using a tutorial I found on the Splitcoast Stampers site. To add some dimension to the box itself, I broke out an embossing folder and ran the panels through my Cuttlebug. I then took some silver ink and lightly ran it over the sides to add some color to the impressions. For my opening at the top of the box, I used a Spellbinders Label 10 die. The Skull and Crossbones file is from Miss Kate Cuttables. For the sentiment, I used a die from the Spellbinders Nested Pennants set and stamped Get Well to it.

I wanted to print out a sentiment that says, "Don't Die"; but maybe that would have been too much. LOL! Hope you enjoy my project and that you will give it or something similar a try. Have a great weekend and don't forget to drop by the PDE Linky Party with your Get Well projects.

Christmas, Perhaps...

Who doesn't have a Grinch around at Christmas!!! LOL!

Today I am sharing a card using a file from

Hopefully this Christmas you can teach your Grinch that Christmas has nothing to do with what you get or what you have to buy, but everything to do with what you give from the heart. Christmas is a story about God and His giving to us! And in turn we then give love, peace, compassion and so much more to others. I pray that your Christmas, as it is quickly coming upon us, will be full of all things loving, good, and kind!

The card measures 4 3/4 x 4 3/4" square. The background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Kraft in Color collection. The Grinch file is actually called Bobble Buddies Grouch and is from Treasure Box Designs. This file will be retiring soon and is only .80 cents right now. There are several other files including all the Bobble Buddies, Treasure Tots, Tiny Treasures, and Sports Tots also for .80 cents. The scalloped oval is from Spellbinders and is stamped with a sentiment from My Craft Spot that is no longer available. I hope you enjoyed this fun card!

Thank you for stopping in today. It is wonderful to have you here!

Scrappy Mom's Stamps Guest Design Project 1 - To the Moon and Back!

I'm so excited to be this month's Guest Designer at

This month's new stamps sets are out and are called Designer's Choice 2 and Party Animals.

For my project today, I paired the I Love You to the Moon and Back sentiment from DC2 with the Out of This World file from Treasure Box Designs.

I love the way it turned out and hope you do too!

The background paper is from G45. For my moon, I used a metallic gray cardstock along with some black and white inks to get my desired effect. The alien piecing was pieced together with various cardstocks - mostly Bazzill and AC - and inked and chalked to add dimension. The sentiment from the Designer's Choice 2 set is stamped onto a banner die from Spellbinders. The card base is 5" in diameter. For the blue lights on my space ship, I used some glitter Sprinkles from Doodlebug Design.

Here are photos of this month's release stamps. Stop by the Scrappy Mom's Store to pick yours up!

I am so excited about my Guest Design Spot this week and will be back with a few more projects as the week goes by. Hope you have a terrific weekend and thanks for stopping in today.

Happy Birthday, Doll!

I have decided that this will be the year of the Birthday Cards. As much as I like making cards, birthday cards have never been at the top of my list. But I have made some progress in this area this year and hope that it continues. For those of my friends and family whose birthday is in January - April, sorry that the year of the birthday is just now officially getting underway. Maybe I will still be in birthday card making mode next year as well. LOL!

My birthday is just a few days away. I hope someone remembers to give me a card!!!

Two birthdays this weekend so here are two cards made for the sweet girls they are for:

The Doll file is from Treasure Box Designs. It can be found in the $1 section of the store.

My cards are A2 size. The background papers are from Doodlebug Design's Sugar Shoppe collection. The label is Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings stamp set.

I really like how these turned out. So cute for little girls!!!

So glad you dropped by today. I invite you to follow me on my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. You can also find me on Instagram @mmirandcreations.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Treasure Tot Happy Birthday!

Last month, on the 30th, Treasure Box Designs had a FB hop and the DT shared some amazing Easter projects. We all also gave away a prize on each of our pages. I had offered a custom card to the winner on my page and today I am sharing that card with all of you.

My winner was able to choose a theme. She asked for a birthday card and told me it would be for her son. I got some info from her to help me with some ideas and this is what I came up with. I sure hope my winner enjoys the card and that her son likes it too!!!

The file from Treasure Box Designs is called Twinkle Tot Johnny. It is a new file and can be found under the new section in the store or in the Boys category. I did do some altering though. I exchanged the decoration on his shirt for the Superman sign that can be found with the Comic Cuties Spiderman and Superman file. This file is also in the Boys category of the store.

The card is A2 size and uses paper from Doodlebug Designs's Hip Hip Hooray collection. The banner die is from Spellbinders, the sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings set (one of my favorite stamp sets by the way), and the twine is from Trendy Twine. The color is Totally Navy. This would be a great color to have for Scrapbook LOs with the 4th of July and summer picnics coming soon.

Thanks for stopping in today. I am always glad to have you!!! I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. You can also find me on Instagram at mmirandacreations.

Sunny!

It's a new Monday and I am so happy to be living in it!

I know I mentioned it in my last post, but I just have to say it again - the flowers are blooming in my yard. The winter seemed so long and cold this year, so I am very thankful for the colors that are popping out and for the warmth touching my skin!

Today is the last day to pick up this week's freebie at Treasure Box Designs. A new freebie is available every Tuesday giving you a week to download it. With that being said, I wanted to make a couple of cards using the "Sunny" girl file from this week to show you what she looks like with a couple of different hair colors.

I made both a brunette and a blonde! Let me know in the comments which one you like best. My daughter liked them both, but thought the blonde hair would go better with the green shirt outfit and the brunette would look better with the pink shirt. She's never afraid to tell me what she thinks of my creations. LOL! Any way, let me know what you think:

Both cards are A2 size. The background papers are all from Doodlebug Design. Yes, this is one of my favorite paper companies!!!

The flag banner is from Spellbinders. I trimmed it down to the length I needed
to fit the way I wanted it.

And the stamp is from Verve stamps. It was a freebie stamp that came with one of my purchases. I love companies that throw in something extra every once in awhile just because!
It always makes my day.

Well, I am so glad you stopped in today for a closer look at my "Sunny" cards. I hope you will stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Blessings,

Girlfriend Valentine Bear Treat Box - PDE Guest Designer

Exciting day today as I am guest designing for

Janis, over at PDE, has a great linky party that runs weekly starting on Tuesdays. She and her DT also have plenty of creative inspiration. Hope you will check it out.

This week's theme is 3D Projects.

I used a couple of files from My Scrap Chick to make this fun treat box for Valentine's Day.

I started with the Pour Box. This has to be one of my all time favorites! I love that it reminds me of making Tapioca Pudding and Malt -O-Meal with my brothers when we were kids. What is your favorite thing you make in the kitchen that comes from a pour box. Well I am sure whoever receives this will be excited to pour our some little candies from it.

Once I assembled the box, I cut out my Girlfriend Valentine Bear. Great thing about this SVG file is that it also comes with a 300dpi images in both color and black and white for your digi and print n cut needs. I think she is absolutely adorable and very easy to piece together!

The white scalloped oval that she is layered on is a Spellbinders die and the patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs. The cardstock is from various companies.

So glad you stopped by today. I always enjoy reading your comments. And, of course, you are always invited to follow me on my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Congratulations on Retiring 2.0!

Here is another card I made for my friend's family member who is retiring.

The cut file is from Treasure Box Designs. The background paper is from my scrap bin so I don't remember where it is from. Sorry about that. I used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment banner. And the twine is Trendy Twine - Strawberry Cupcake.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Santa and His Reindeer Gift Box!

One more Christmas project to share with you and then it is time to think about the new year and all the fun projects the year will bring. I made this gift box for my Sister in Law to hold some BBW hand soaps. As soon as I saw this file of Santa in the Silhouette store, I knew had to use him somehow. I know that this Santa will be used next year too.

Using the same Nail Polish Tote from Lori Whitlock that I used to make my Baby Sock Tote with this last September, I sized it even larger this time to hold the hand soap bottles. I used some heavy cardstock from my stash and decorated it using paper from Echo Park's Tis the Season Paper Pad that I picked up from Annie's Paper Boutique (Home of Trendy Twine). I then opened up the Santa Sleigh Silhouetted by the Moon file (#52304) and altered it so that I would only have one reindeer and sized it for the front of the box. I used heavy black textured cardstock from my stash for this. I also die cut a Spellbinders Oval die with my Cuttlebug and stamped it using a stamp from My Craft Spot's Naughty or Nice stamp set. Once I figured out how I wanted my Santa placed on the box, I wrapped some Holly Berry Trendy Twine around it. I added the Santa silhouette and the sentiment with pop dots. This was one of my favorite creations of the season.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope to have you here again soon.

Merry Christmas Tag!

Wanting to share one more tag that I have made as I prepare for the big day.

I am using a cut file from KaDoodle Bug Designs!

One of the things I like about the pattern sets at KBD is that they always contain lots of little extras. Today I am using a Christmas bulb from the Merry Moose-mas set.

I started out by cutting out the Christmas bulb and piecing it together. I then used my Cuttlebug to die cut two layers from the Spellbinders Label Four set and adhered them together. I then added the bulb to my tag base. I also die cut a banner die from My Craft Spot and stamped it with a My Craft Spot sentiment from the Naughty or Nice stamp set. I used some Holly Berry Trendy Twine to make a bow for my ornament and then I tied off a bit more at the top of the tag. Pop dots were used for dimension and I inked all my pieces with various inks. Two days to go, and today I will get out and finish my Christmas shopping. Yuck! That is the part that I truly dislike about this holiday. I am not a shopper! I hope all your preparations are coming together.

Thanks for stopping in today! Please stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Let It Snow Snowman Bear Gift Bag!

How about another cute gift bag? This one is using a fun file from

One of Melissa's newest files is Fun in the Snow. I think these bears are absolutely adorable.

I used the Snowman Bear on my gift bag.

I started by sizing my bear in my Silhouette software to the size I needed so that it would fit on my bag. (The bag was sized to the largest size I could make it on my virtual mat.) I cut the pieces and put my bear together. I used paper from Carta Bella's Merry and Bright collection. I then took another piece of the patterned paper from the collection and cut out my gift bag. The gift bag is from SVG Cutting Files Dinosaur Handled Bag file. Once my bag was cut and assembled, I added the Snowman Bear file with pop dots. I then die cut a banner from the Spellbinder's Pennant set, added my sentiment from Peachy Keen Stamps Christmas Greeting Words set and some Totally Natural Trendy Twine, and attached it to the bag as well. I also attached a snowflake from a Martha Stewart punch I have. So excited to have made two adorable gift bags this week. See Monday's post for the other one.

I hope you have a terrific week and as always I am grateful that you dropped by. I invite you to check out my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well if you'd like.

Blessings,

Trendy Twine's Christmas Tin Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the

Trendy Twine Christmas Tin Blog Hop

It's a perfect way to start the month of December and a special 12 days of Christmas celebration where the DT will be WOWing you all with creative gift giving ideas using Trendy Twine (of course) as well as other products found in the Trendy Twine store. But we will have more on that tomorrow.

Today the DT is showcasing all the different "tins" that are offered in the Trendy Twine store and getting you all in the gift giving mood!

Sit back, grab your favorite beverage, and get ready to be inspired!

If you have come here from Tammy, then you are in the right spot. If you just happened on to my page, you may want to start back at the Trendy Twine blog so as not to miss any of the great creations we have for you.

Today, I am using the Small Treat Tin for my project.

For me, Christmas is Christ! So I wanted to start my December
with a reminder of His birth in the manger.

I used Carta Bella's Merry and Bright paper collection to decorate my tin on the top and on the bottom half sides. I used design #49706 from the Silhouette Store to make cutting my pieces easier. It was a bit off, but I altered it to make it work. I then added Holly Berry Trendy Twine around the top sides by adding tape along the length of the sides to hold the twine. My paper piecing of Baby Jesus comes from My Scrap Chick's Christmas Nativity 1 - Manger set. I altered the manger a bit as well. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set. I stamped it on to a die cut from Spellbinder's Nested Ovals set. I used pop dots to add Baby Jesus in the Manger. I finished it all off with a bow of Holly Berry Trendy Twine above my sentiment and some small gems. This little tin is perfect for storing 25 Advent scripture cards for your daily readings. It is also a great size to put in a few pieces of candy to give someone as a treat.

Here are my supplies from the Trendy twine store:

It is a blog hop so there has to be prizes, right! We will actually have two lucky winners. Each winner will receive a spool of Candy Cane Trendy Twine and a set of printable Christmas tags. To win, all you need to do is leave a comment on each blog and become a follower of each blog as well.

Be watching the Trendy Twine blog as Day 2 of the Trendy Twine 12 Days of Christmas happens tomorrow. We have 11 more days of gift packaging ideas coming your way!!!

Day 2 of the scripture reading that I am following this Advent season:

1 Corinthians 1:3-9

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I give thanks to God always for you because of the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him with all speech and all knowledge--even as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you--so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ; who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
