Fishing You a Happy Father's Day!

It's my turn to share again this month on the Trendy Twine blog as we celebrate Dads!

Today I am using the Krazy for Kraft and Blue Berry Trendy Twine along with the Clear Take Out Boxes to make this super fun treat for Dad.

I started out by wrapping my Blue Berry twine around the box about 3/4" along the bottom to make my body of water. I then stamped my sentiment (wood block sentiment from HL) on my banner from MKC, inked the edges, and attached it to the box. Next I assembled the fish file from Treasure Box Designs. Head to the store and type fishing into the search box and you will find this guy as part of the Catch of the Day file. I attached one end of my Krazy for Kraft twine to my fish's mouth, threaded it behind my banner and tied it to the handle of my box, tying it off with a bow. In the box, I put some yummy Gummy Worms.

I hope you have enjoyed my Dad's Day inspiration and that you will drop by the Trendy Twine blog to see all the inspiration the Gals have shared this month.

Thanks for dropping by today. I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages or find me on Instagram @mmirandcreations to follow all of my paper crafting inspiration.

Blessings,

Sending a Big Bear Hug!

So, I have shared with you that I plan to make this the year of the Birthday Card, and I started in April with one third  of the year already over. (Whew, that saved me three months of guilt.) My first obstacle in this mission is actually making bday cards so I have been working on that. The 2nd obstacle - making it to the post office.

Papa's birthday was yesterday and the card is still sitting on my desk. We did tell him it would eventually make it to him though, and he was glad to hear he had something to look forward to.

Papa likes his hugs, so the sentiment is perfect for him. On the inside is stamped Happy Birthday. The bear is from Treasure Box Designs and is part of a series called Bobble Buddies. The whole series has been marked down to $1 each as they will be discontinued soon. Stop by the store to check them out! My background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Kraft in Color collection. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. And to finish it all off, I wrapped it with a piece of Trendy Twine and tied it in a bow. The twine color is Krazy for Kraft and is our spotlighted twine this month. That means it is on sale for $6.99 a spool. The sentiment is part of the Scrappy Mom's Stamps May Release and can be found on the Designer's Choice 2 stamp set. I was a guest designer for the May Release earlier in the month and I have to tell you that the two new sets this month are both full of super cute sentiments!!! The card measures an A2 size. Hope you enjoy it!

My Stuffie!

If you haven't seen the new Little Gems files from Treasure Box Designs, then you are in for a real treat!!! These cut files are just precious. And when I saw the new file called Little Gems Huggies, I knew I would have to use it immediately!!! I made this card to share with you:

Isn't she just the cutest holding her little Stuffie (Huggie)! My kids have always loved stuffed animals and called them Stuffies and all three of them still sleep with them every night. It makes this mother's heart happy to see them still so innocent.

My cut file stands about 5" tall. To get her this height, I scaled all the pieces of the file until the head measured 2.016" wide. The card base is A2 sized (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). The background paper is from the Sugar Shoppe collection by Doodlebug Design. I just love this paper. The paper was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More from My Creative Time. I have been wanting some rectangular stitched dies for awhile so I finally just broke down and bought them. The sentiment and tag are from the Tiny Tag collection from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). And the fun twine is called Totally Pink and is from Trendy Twine. I'll say it again - the solid twists are some of my absolute favorites!!! Hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!!!

#1 Dad w/ Trendy Twine!

Happy Weekend Trendy Twiners!!!! So glad for a three day weekend with my family and then when school resumes Tuesday the countdown begins. We will only have 9 days left. Yeah!

All of the Trendy Gals are counting down to Fathers' Day as well as we have spotlighted the Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine and 3x3x3 Kraft Boxes all month long making special projects for our very special dads. We hope you have been joining us on the Trendy Twine blog to see all the goodies!

Today is my day to share:

I have made a gift set using both the twine and the Kraft Box.

I started by covering my box using a piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Day collection by Echo Park. I also cut a A2 sized card base and then cut a piece of the patterned paper at 4 1/4" W x 4 1/2 H. I attached it to the front of the base leaving an 1" space at the bottom. I then took my twine and wrapped it three times around the box and then once around the card tying that piece off in bow. The cut file is from Miss Kate Cuttables and is called Number 1 Dad Title. I cut all my pieces for both the box and the card, pieced them together, and attached them foam squares. I also used a wooden block stamp purchased from HL to stamp the sentiment on my card. I really like how they turned out!!! It will be so fun to stuff some treats into the box and give the set to my hubby or to Opa.

Here are the products I used from the Trendy Twine store:

Scrappy Mom's Stamps Guest Design Project 4 - Oops... I Slipped!

Today, I am wrapping up my last day as a Guest Designer for
A huge thank you to Melanie and Tammy and the whole DT for having me this week!
Well I am notorious for forgetting to send or for sending late birthday cards. I know that my friends and family think I am crazy since I make cards, but I just don't get this right. LOL!
Well here is a perfect sentiment for me and for all of you who are like me!!!

Oops... I slipped and missed your birthday! How cute is that! This sentiment comes from the Designer's Choice 2 set that is part of this month's new release.

My card measures an A2 Size. I cut a piece of cardstock to 4 1/4" wide and used a MS punch to make the border on the bottom. I then made the height of it 4 1/2" and attached it to my base. This left me one inch of white space along the bottom to add my sentiment. I then cut a piece of designer cardstock for my top layer at 4 1/4" wide by 3 3/4" high and attached it after inking the edges. The cut file is from KaDoodle Bug Designs called Cutie Katoodles Duck. I finished my card off with a piece of Totally White Trendy Twine.

Here are the two stamp sets for this month's release:

Scrappy Mom's Stamps Guest Design Project 3 - Turtlely Awesome!

It's still release week over at

and I have a third Guest Design Team project for you.

This release has been super fun to work with.

Hope your birthday is Turtley Awesome!!! is a sentiment from the new Party Animals stamp set. I think this sentiment is just adorable. I paired the sentiment with cut files from Treasure Box Designs called Turtley Cute (Girl). I did change her hair though using a past freebie called Doll. The background paper is from Doodlebug Designs' Hello Sunshine Collection. And to finish it off, I added a piece of Trendy Twine's Totally Pink twine to add a bow. The finished card is an A2 size. Each piece is hand inked and chalked to add dimension.

Here is a close up of the sentiment:

And here are some pics of the new release stamps.

Scrappy Mom's Stamps Guest DT Project 2 - Squeal w/ Delight!

Happy Monday!!! It is a beautiful day! I hope all of you enjoy your week!!!

I am sharing another Guest Design Team project for

I am really excited to be getting into a new adventure for me in papercrafting. I am working on learning the intricacies of scrapbooking. Today I have a one page LO for you using a cute sentiment from the Scrappy Mom's Stamps new release set, Party Animals.

Here is a closer shot of the sentiment - "You make me Squeal with delight."

The cut files are from Treasure Box Design's Muddy Buddy collection. This is such a cute set!!!

I used the SVG format and cut them on my Cameo using DE. I then inked and chalked all my pieces before piecing them together.

My background paper is from K and Co. from the Tommy's Toys Paper Kit. I admit it has been in my stash for awhile. My LO measures 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" to accommodate the border that was cut with my Cameo. The file is from My Scrap Chick. The twine is from Trendy Twine and it is one of my favorite colors - Krafty Red. It comes in a spool or a mini. The photo mats will hold one 4x4 photo and one 4x6 photo.

It is so exciting to be working with the girls from Scrappy Mom's Stamps this week! Thank you to all of you for your kindness! I appreciate you all!!! Here is a look at the two sets of stamps for this month's release.

Scrappy Mom's Stamps Guest Design Project 1 - To the Moon and Back!

I'm so excited to be this month's Guest Designer at

This month's new stamps sets are out and are called Designer's Choice 2 and Party Animals.

For my project today, I paired the I Love You to the Moon and Back sentiment from DC2 with the Out of This World file from Treasure Box Designs.

I love the way it turned out and hope you do too!

The background paper is from G45. For my moon, I used a metallic gray cardstock along with some black and white inks to get my desired effect. The alien piecing was pieced together with various cardstocks - mostly Bazzill and AC - and inked and chalked to add dimension. The sentiment from the Designer's Choice 2 set is stamped onto a banner die from Spellbinders. The card base is 5" in diameter. For the blue lights on my space ship, I used some glitter Sprinkles from Doodlebug Design.

Here are photos of this month's release stamps. Stop by the Scrappy Mom's Store to pick yours up!

I am so excited about my Guest Design Spot this week and will be back with a few more projects as the week goes by. Hope you have a terrific weekend and thanks for stopping in today.

Pooh Bear Invite!

Oh, bother, it has been a few days since I have posted. Pinkeye hit my house and that will slow a mom down for sure. I have also been working on some birthday invites for a friend. Her daughter is turning "1" next month and she asked me to make some Pooh invitations - 20 of them to be exact.

So to make them, I used the Silly Old Friends file from Treasure Box Designs and added a bear face using the Bear Mouse Ears file and came up with this Pooh Invite.

The paper is from the Disney Classic Pooh paper stack from JoAnn's Fabric.

Hope you like it and will give this Pooh a try for your next Winnie the Pooh project!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by! I invite you to stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. You can also find me on Instagram @mmirandcreations.

Happy Birthday, Doll!

I have decided that this will be the year of the Birthday Cards. As much as I like making cards, birthday cards have never been at the top of my list. But I have made some progress in this area this year and hope that it continues. For those of my friends and family whose birthday is in January - April, sorry that the year of the birthday is just now officially getting underway. Maybe I will still be in birthday card making mode next year as well. LOL!

My birthday is just a few days away. I hope someone remembers to give me a card!!!

Two birthdays this weekend so here are two cards made for the sweet girls they are for:

The Doll file is from Treasure Box Designs. It can be found in the $1 section of the store.

My cards are A2 size. The background papers are from Doodlebug Design's Sugar Shoppe collection. The label is Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings stamp set.

I really like how these turned out. So cute for little girls!!!

So glad you dropped by today. I invite you to follow me on my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. You can also find me on Instagram @mmirandcreations.

Have a wonderful weekend!
