For Mom

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are having a great week!

This month, the Trendy Gals have had so much fun showcasing some great packaging along with the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine. I hope you have been by the Trendy Twine blog this month!

Today, I am sharing a project "For Mom" using a Clear Take Out Box and the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine. All month long I have focused my projects on the warm thoughts of Spring.

I think these Clear Take Out Boxes are perfect for creating scenes on the outside of. And don't you think that Mom would love to find a new pair of earrings wrapped up inside of all the crinkle paper on the inside. Maybe a fun pair of butterfly earrings!

The Spring scene on the front comes from the Little Buggers SVG Collection at Little Scraps of Heaven. After decorating the front, I closed the box with the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine. I used the twine to attach the tag to the box with a bow. The tag and sentiment are from the Tiny Tags stamp set by My Craft Spot. To add dimension to my pieces, I used inks, chalks, and a gel pen.

Thank you for stopping in today. To purchase the Clear Take Out Boxes, the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine, or one of Lesley's other great products, stop by Annie's Paper Boutique.

Mom, I Love You!

Spring is in the air and Mother's Day is drawing near!

I used the Garden Girl file from Treasure Box Designs for this card.

The card measures 5"x5". I used Coordinations paper for the background and various cardstocks for my piecing. The scalloped oval is Spellbinders and the sentiment comes from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tag set. This is a perfect card for all those mom's who enjoy the garden or maybe just picking flowers from someone else's garden! Happy Spring, everyone!

Treasure Tot Happy Birthday!

Last month, on the 30th, Treasure Box Designs had a FB hop and the DT shared some amazing Easter projects. We all also gave away a prize on each of our pages. I had offered a custom card to the winner on my page and today I am sharing that card with all of you.

My winner was able to choose a theme. She asked for a birthday card and told me it would be for her son. I got some info from her to help me with some ideas and this is what I came up with. I sure hope my winner enjoys the card and that her son likes it too!!!

The file from Treasure Box Designs is called Twinkle Tot Johnny. It is a new file and can be found under the new section in the store or in the Boys category. I did do some altering though. I exchanged the decoration on his shirt for the Superman sign that can be found with the Comic Cuties Spiderman and Superman file. This file is also in the Boys category of the store.

The card is A2 size and uses paper from Doodlebug Designs's Hip Hip Hooray collection. The banner die is from Spellbinders, the sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings set (one of my favorite stamp sets by the way), and the twine is from Trendy Twine. The color is Totally Navy. This would be a great color to have for Scrapbook LOs with the 4th of July and summer picnics coming soon.

Thanks for stopping in today. I am always glad to have you!!! I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. You can also find me on Instagram at mmirandacreations.

Blessings,

Sunny!

It's a new Monday and I am so happy to be living in it!

I know I mentioned it in my last post, but I just have to say it again - the flowers are blooming in my yard. The winter seemed so long and cold this year, so I am very thankful for the colors that are popping out and for the warmth touching my skin!

Today is the last day to pick up this week's freebie at Treasure Box Designs. A new freebie is available every Tuesday giving you a week to download it. With that being said, I wanted to make a couple of cards using the "Sunny" girl file from this week to show you what she looks like with a couple of different hair colors.

I made both a brunette and a blonde! Let me know in the comments which one you like best. My daughter liked them both, but thought the blonde hair would go better with the green shirt outfit and the brunette would look better with the pink shirt. She's never afraid to tell me what she thinks of my creations. LOL! Any way, let me know what you think:

Both cards are A2 size. The background papers are all from Doodlebug Design. Yes, this is one of my favorite paper companies!!!

The flag banner is from Spellbinders. I trimmed it down to the length I needed
to fit the way I wanted it.

And the stamp is from Verve stamps. It was a freebie stamp that came with one of my purchases. I love companies that throw in something extra every once in awhile just because!
It always makes my day.

Well, I am so glad you stopped in today for a closer look at my "Sunny" cards. I hope you will stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Blessings,

You Are Sunshine For My Soul!

Happy Saturday!!! So happy to be posting for Trendy Twine today!

All month long we have been spotlighting the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine as we get ready for Mother's Day. Here is my card:

How many of you will be giving MOM some flowers or a potted plant with a big bow wrapped around it this Mother's Day? How about a matching card to go with it!.
On the inside, I stamped "Happy Mother's Day".

The card is A2 sized. I double matted it with pink paper and then a piece of Doodlebug Design's Springtime design paper. The cute cut file is a retired file from Treasure Box Designs. It is called Baby Bloom. I used more Doodlebug Design paper from the Hello Sunshine collection for the pot and flower. After piecing it together, I wrapped a piece of the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine around the pot and tied it off with a bow. I used the Verve Stamp set Happy Hello for my sentiment on the outside of the card and used a set from My Craft Spot on the inside to stamp Happy Mother's Day. The piecing was added using pop dots and the card was finished off with Doodlebug Design's Sprinkles. This card was perfect for me to make this week as the blooms are finally starting to open on many flowers and trees in my yard after the long, cold winter.

Thank you for dropping in today. I invite you to drop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. They are an easy place to hit a follow button to keep up with all my latest creations!

Blessings,

Marvel Heroes Invites!

So this Saturday is my son's birthday and every year he has a super hero party. It's been this way since he wrapped his mind around the idea that he is Spiderman. This year, I decided to focus on a few of the Marvel characters to shake it up a bit. LOL!

Here are some of the invitations that I made him. I also made some Hulk invites, but the photos didn't turn out well and of course the invites have been handed out.

I made 6 Spidey cards in all. These are the 3 that I got good pictures of.  Five of them were handed out and the one below was kept for keepsake purposes.

Next is Thor! He is too cute! I put the wings on the helmet wrong on one of them, but I actually like it! Kind of wished I did it that way on both of them.

I picked up the backgrounds papers from Michael's. It is the Marvel Comics kit. The paper isn't very good quality (copy paper thin which is not my favorite at all),
but it works perfectly for the way I used it.

When making my squares for the card base, I just cut the center one from the outer one with my Cameo as it is easy to center them in the software and then I made my mat for the inner square just a bit larger and lined up the paper when attaching it to the card base. I really like the effect!

The last set is Captain America. These are probably my favorite of all of them. I really like the backgrounds on these two cards. Especially the one below as you can see Captain America peeking out from behind the Comic Cutie Captain America. Just makes me smile!

These were all so much fun to make and I really like how they turned out!!! The cards are all A2 size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") and the inside square mat measures 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". I used various cardstocks for the piecings, but most of it is Bazzill and American Crafts brands.

Oh and you should know, these are really pretty easy. I whipped up 12 cards in total (5 Saturday night and 6 Sunday night) with a sinus headache so that they could be given out on Sunday at church and Monday at school. Being sick and having Spring Break really put me behind. I'm hoping some kiddos actually show up!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I truly appreciate it! I invite you to check out my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. They are a great place to keep up with updates to all my crafting adventures. And remember, if you ever see something you are interested in, please leave me a message. I definitely do custom work and would be glad to help you with your card and project needs!

Comic Cuties - Superman and Batman

Wow, it has been over a week since I have shared anything. Lots of sickness going on in my house. I'm glad to say that it seems everyone else in the house seems fine and I am finally on the mend.

Anyway, we have the cutest little twin boys in our congregation. They were adopted by my dear friends a couple days after they were born and just recently had their first birthday party (on Easter Sunday actually). And since there dad is a true Superman and Batman fanatic, well the boys are too. In fact, it has been confirmed that the boys actually are Superman and Batman!

So you know I couldn't help making these cards for them:

Happy 1st Birthday, Little Guys! You sure are loved!!!

The cards are made using files from Treasure Box Designs. You will find these two files along with other Comic Cuties in the Boy's Section of the store. Both cards are A2 sized. The background paper is from Bo Bunny's Back to Basics Surprise collection.

These were so fun to make! Thanks for dropping by to take a look! Oh, and be watching later this week! Some of the Marvel Super Heroes will be making an appearance as well. It is my son's birthday on Saturday and he just happens to be Spiderman!

I invite you to stop by my Facebook page and Pinterest page as well. They are great places to follow all my crafty projects! Have a great week!

Blessings,

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

It's Resurrection Sunday! I pray that you know Jesus. He changed my life! I was baptized 16 years ago on an Easter Sunday. That year it was on April 4th. It was only the beginning!

Hope you have a fantastic Easter with your family and friends. I'm headed to worship and then off to the home of some dear friends for lunch and an egg hunt. So looking forward to it.

Well the Trendy Gals from Trendy Twine have done it again. They have put together some cards and other projects to share with you today! There is so much cuteness going on!

Here is my card:

This A2 sized card is filled with so much sweetness. The bunny is from Treasure Box Designs Basket Full of Love set. (Best part is that it is in the $1 section of the store.) The background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Hello Sunshine Collection. The tag was made using stamps from My Craft Spot (which is no longer in business. So sad!) And to top it off is the sweet Bubblegum Taffy twist from Trendy Twine. This is one of my favorite colors from the store and I was so glad that it worked for this card!!! I hope this card brings a smile to you as it did me while making it!

I'm so glad that you stopped by today. Please head on over to the Trendy Twine blog to see all of today's projects from the Trendy Gals if you haven't been there yet.

I'd like to invite you to follow me on my Facebook page and Pinterest page. It is an easy way to keep up with the many creations I post. I hope my cards and other projects are an inspiration to you and give you ideas for your projects as well.

Blessings,

Easter Love!

Can I just say that I am having a blast working with Dina's files at Treasure Box Designs!!! There is so much cuteness going on in her store. I am so excited about today's card.

Easter is tomorrow and I wanted to make something special for my hubby, so I have stayed up late the last two nights working on this card. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

As I looked through the files in the store, the Easter Sunday Boys and Easter Sunday Girls files popped out at me. I knew I had to use these files to make this card. And the best part is that right now they are in the $1 section of the store, so get them while you can. They will retire soon! The boy with his bunny suspenders is too stinkin' adorable! And who doesn't like a girl dressed up in all her frills.

The card measures 5 1/4" squared with the  inside mat measuring 4 1/2" squared. The paper I used is from Doodlebug Designs. Yes, I admit this may be my favorite paper company, especially in the Spring! The bright colors make my heart happy! I used a pattern from both the Springtime and Hello Sunshine collections. I used inks, chalks and a white gel pen on my piecings. The piecings were then attached using pop dots to give the card some dimension. I also used some Doodlebug Designs Glitter Sprinkles to finish off the card. I can't wait to give this to my hubby even with all the bright, colorful papers. I know that he will really like this one!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate the visit!
I invite you to my Facebook and Pinterest pages too.

Blessings,

Raggedy Ann Rag Doll Scrapbook Page!

Hey Friends! I'm trying something new today. I actually designed my own scrapbook page using a cute Rag Doll file from Treasure Box Designs.

I have listed this in my Ebay store. You can find it here.

This is a 12x12" scrapbook page with 2 photo mats that measure 2 12" x 3 1/2". I cut the Rag Doll file using my Cameo and then inked, chalked, and pieced her together. I think she turned out so cute!!! The design paper is from Graphic 45's Playtimes Past collection. The paper piecing and the photo mats are attached with pop dots to add dimension. All that is needed is photos!

If you want to make your own Rag Doll file you can find it in this section of the Treasure Box Designs store - Girly Girls

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I invite you to stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well to see all my latest projects. Again look for this scrapbook page in my Ebay store here. And be looking for more listings there soon.
