Trendy Twine - A Happy Hello and a Sad Goodbye

A Happy Hello to all of you this Sunday morning!!!
Today I am posting for Trendy Twine. All month long the Trendy Gals have been sharing projects using the Nautical Trendy Twine and some of the ladies have been sharing a Shaker Card.
This is mine:

This is my first ever Shaker Card. I learned several things putting it together. One, I need to work on my sentiment placement. I put it a bit too high. I also had a problem with my confetti sticking to the tape at the top. I'm sure there is a fix for this - just have to figure it out. But all in all, I am pretty happy with how it turned out!!! The seahorse is just precious!!!

My card base measures 4.25x4.25". The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs. My sentiment is from Verve Stamps Happy Hello collection. The seahorse was last week's freebie from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. To make the Porthole Shaker, I just used my DE software for the Cameo to make a circle and then used the internal offset to make the inner circle. I then hit Make Compound Path. Really simple!!! I used the Nautical Trendy Twine to decorate the porthole.

Thank you for dropping in today to see my last post as a Design Team Member for Trendy Twine. Yes, it is a Sad Goodbye to all my Trendy Gal Sisters and Trendy Fans!!! Thank you, Lesley, for a wonderful time designing for you!!! It has been a fun 11 months.
I hope you will also stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages. They are a great way to follow me and to keep up with all my creations. Remember, I do custom orders if you have need for a treasured card, layout, or other gift to commemorate all your precious memories.
Many Blessings and Hugs,

Trendy Twine - "Shore" Do Love You!

This month on the Trendy Twine blog we are showcasing the
It has been so much fun seeing all the Trendy Gal's Nautical projects.
Here is mine:

I filled my candy sack with some Swedish Fish. Such a yummy gummy candy treat!!!

For my topper, I cut a fun sea time paper that has been in my stash using a Spellbinder's Label 4 die. I stamped it with a sentiment from the Cardz TV Stamp's Summer Fun set. I wrapped it with the Nautical Trendy Twine and attached it to the bag. I then pieced my Puffer Fish from the Treasure Box Design's Sea Buddies collection. I just love his big blue eyes!!! I then attached him to the topper using foam squares. Super fun and easy to put together and they would make great treats for your kiddos.

Thank you for dropping in today. I hope you will stop by Annie's Paper Boutique store for all your Trendy Twine and other paper crafting needs.

Blessings,

You read that right!  All 6 of us will randomly choose a comment from our blog to win a set of Cardz TV Stamps to add to your crafty stash. Remember to FOLLOW and COMMENT on each blog being sure to leave a way to contact you in case you win! (USA addresses only)

MORE CANDY!!!!

In addition to the Cardz TV Stamps, some of the blogs are offering additional CANDY. Read each blog post to learn how to win from their blog. I'll tell you about the additional CANDY I'm offering right after I show you my project.

Today I have this super fun Layout to share with you.

Summer fun is sunshine and sunsets, beaches, and bare footin' fun!!! If I could live near the beach I would be in bliss and one of these days I will figure out how to at least visit the beach on a regular basis. So naturally when I thought of Good Old Summertime, my mind couldn't help but dream of the sand and palm trees! I made this LO using the Tropical Sunset file from Treasure Box Designs.
For the background and the photo mats, I used papers from Echo Park's I Love Sunshine collection that was designed by Lori Whitlock. These photos do not do justice to the papers at all. For my paper piecings, I used various brands of quality cardstock.

I did a bit of embossing on the coconuts in the palm tress using the D'vine Swirls folder from Cuttlebug. When making the boys umbrella hut, I wanted to add dimension there so I gave the umbrella a curve effect by pulling it along the side of my gel pen.

All the pieces are attached using dimensionals in one or two layers so that the pieces all pop off the page. The only exception are the photo mats. For one last touch, I added a sentiment from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps set called Summer Fun.

More Blog Hop Candy to be won!!!

There are so many sweet files from the Treasure Box Designs store to use for making cards, scrapbook layouts, and treat/gift packages. So for my prize, you can win either one free set of the digital files from the store to use with your electronic die cutting machine or you can ask me to piece together one set of TBD files that I send to you finished for you to use on cards or a layout. Once a winner is drawn and I am contacted by the winner, I will ask you which of the two options you would prefer.

Remember to win either of my prizes, you need to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment!

Winners announced on each blog on Monday, July 13!

Here's the complete hop lineup in case you need to start at the beginning! Enjoy!

So glad you hopped with us today. I'm excited to read all your comments. They are always very appreciated!!! And I want to thank all of you who become new followers. I hope you will stop in often!!! Flip Flopping Summer Fun - PDE Linky Party

There is a new challenge over at the
The Theme: Summer Fun!!!
It starts today and you have one week to link up. We can't wait to see your projects.
Here is a gift set that I made to help get the Party started:

Have a Sun-sational Day! There is nothing I like more on a sunny day than to wear my flip flops!!!

The card is A2 size and uses an SVG file from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The background paper is from Doodlebug Designs and the pink border is made using a piece of cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The base itself is a piece of Recollections brand 110# cardstock from Michaels. The stamped sentiment is from Cardz TV's Summer Fun set. I finished it all off with a piece of Totally Pink Trendy Twine (one of my all time favorite twine colors!!).

For my treat sack, I used the small candy sack w/ flat bottom from Annie's Paper Boutique (Home of Trendy Twine). I added some bright, fun candies and then attached a matching tag to it with some ribbon and a tad bit more of the twine. The tag also uses the flip flop file from LSHD and the same patterned paper for the background. You will notice on both sets of flip flops, I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the paper using the Spots and Dots folder.

Like I said earlier, I am looking forward to seeing all your fun projects. Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate you all and always enjoy your comments. I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Blessings,

You're a Rock Star!!!

Do you have a Rock Star in your family!!! Then I have the perfect two page Scrapbook Layout for you! Whether your rocker is running around in his or her diaper playing an air guitar or all grown up playing in a band, this is the perfect set of pages to capture all your precious memories!!!

I used Treasure Box Designs Rock Star, Little Gems Rockers, and Little Gems Patriotic collections.

I wish you could see it in person. This is so bright and colorful contrasted with the tan and black background. The LO was inspired by the card I made last week. I thought my Rocker Dude needed a band!!! You can find the post for my card here.

For the background paper, I broke out my Halloween paper. It is from Echo Park's The Apothecary Emporium and is called Skull and Bones. The four photo mats with hold 4x4 photos. I used a couple of embossing folders on this LO as well. I used the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls and, though you can't see it in the picture, I used Skeleton Scroll by Cuttlebug as well. I embossed a skull onto her shirt.

Continue down for more photos.

The Layout is for sale on my eBay page, here!
