#1 Teacher! August 2016 Challenge at Jaded Blossom

It's Challenge Time at Jaded Blossom. This month's challenge is:

Crafter's Choice!!!

Well that makes it easy, doesn't it!
School starts here on Thursday, so I decided to make a fun teacher gift to start the year.

I made this card and matching treat bag with some crayon shaped erasers. My daughter fell in love with the erasers, so her teacher may only get the card. LOL!

I loved the pencil die in the blue color to make it look more like a colored pencil. Too fun!!!

I hope you will join us this month and show off all your awesome projects using Jaded Blossom projects. Head on over to the Jaded Blossom blog to enter and while you are there, check out all the fun projects by the JB team.

Blessings,

You are Amazing Gift Set!

So I totally saw a card on Pinterest that I loved and I immediately said - I can make something like that with my Jaded Blossom dies - and so I did.

Today is my day to post on the Jaded Blossom blog and this is the gift set that I made for my project:

I used several Jaded Blossom goodies including Spring Dies 2, Rectangle Dies 1, Treat Tag Die, and a sentiment from Encouragement. I also used Canson Watercolor paper, Peacock Feathers and Crushed Olive Distress Inks, and Limeade Ice cardstock from Papertrey Ink.

Here is a close up of my card:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thinking of You!

Using some of my favorite dies from Jaded Blossom on my card today.

I love the butterfly dies in the Spring Dies 2 set! So I paired them with the Rectangles Dies 1 and a sentiment from Simple Sayings to make this card.

The background paper is from Authentique's Seasons: Summer 6x6 paper pad. This is a beautiful set of papers. And this card would work with lots of different sentiments.

Thank you for stopping in and taking a look!

Mermaid to be Friends!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July holiday. I had a great time celebrating with my brother and his family! How many of you like to go and watch the big firework shows and who likes to just stay home? I love the fireworks, but I can't always get my hubby to go.

It is my day to share a project for Jaded Blossom. Today I have a sweet card for you using the new Scallop Rectangle Dies 2 and Rectangle Dies 1 and 2. I have also used Mermaid Kisses.

Now, I want you to know that you can use stamped images even if you don't have fancy markers. I have some EK Success and some Martha Stewart colored pencils and I used those to color the image. And, of course, these pencils don't allow all the fancy blending; but my dear friend who I am going to mail this card to will not mind a bit!!! I'm sure she will just be super excited that I have thought of her. The background paper is from Doodlebug Design.

So glad you stopped by my creative corner today! I hope you have enjoyed the card!

Blessings,

Here's what I created:

My first project is in anticipation of July 4th in just a few days. I love the firework shows!!! So I decided to make some fun treat bags for my kiddos that I can give to them on the holiday. The new rectangle dies make creating a topper so easy!!! I used the Scalloped Rectangle Dies 2 for this one. I also used the Rectangle Dies 2 and Superstar stamp set for my sentiment and the Star Dies for the dark blue stars on the fireworks. The fireworks are from Miss Kate Cuttables and the fun paper is from Doodlebug Design.

Here is a close-up of the topper:

And since July is known to the crafting world as Christmas in July, my 2nd project is a Halloween card. Yes, that's right, I said Halloween. You see, I just couldn't make anything Christmas themed without making something Halloween themed first!!! Does anyone else feel this way?!! LOL!

I love Halloween and some of my favorite JB Dies are the Halloween Dies! This little ghost just makes my heart melt!!!And look at all the fun layers that can be made with the new dies!!! It just looks awesome! To make the card, I used the new Scallop Rectangle Dies 1, new Rectangle Dies 1 and Rectangle Dies 2, Stitched Oval Dies, Halloween Dies, Layered Frame and Journal Die, and Spooky Labels stamp set. The fun patterned papers are from Doodlebug Design, the face stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps, and the cardstock is Papertrey Ink.

I'm so glad you stopped by today!!! I hope you are enjoying the hop.

Up next is the fab Michelle!

And just in case you get lost along the way or you are dropping by my blog and would like to start at the beginning, here is the Entire Line-Up:

Grand Slam Birthday!!!

With all the packing last month and the move at the beginning of this month, I haven't felt like I've had much time to craft. But in celebration of being home, I had to make this card for my Jaded Blossom DT project over on the Jaded Blossom Blog!!!

I'm sure I have already mentioned this, but I really love the Sports Dies that came out this month. I also used the new Hey Batter stamp set and the Card Mat Dies on this card. I traced the Royals logo using my Cameo software. I've already been out to the ballpark since arriving home. We moved back here from Cleveland and the Royals were playing the Indians the night I went to the game. Too much fun - especially since my Royals won that night.

My son's birthday is Wednesday, but we will have to wait until next weekend to celebrate as he is at camp for the week. This will be my start to transforming him into a Royals fan. I am also working on my husband!!! Hope you like the card. It would be an awesome card to make with any team's logo to give to your favorite baseball fan!

Thanks for swinging by!!!

Blessings,

It's the last day of reveals at Jaded Blossom and we are looking forward to tonight's release of all the June goodies. But let's show you the last stamp set for this release along with this month's freebie.

Here is my project using Card Candy Wraps:

I thought a cute racing themed box and some wrapped chocolate Hershey's Nuggets would be the perfect way to showcase the new Car Candy Wraps. Stick the candies in the box with a gift card or some Hot Wheels cars and you have the perfect gift for boys and men alike!

The box and car cut files are from My Scrap Chick and the Race Flags file is from SVG Cuts.

Here is today's reveal:

Black Widow

It's Tuesday!!! Yay! I get to share a project with you using goodies from Jaded Blossom!

I was in Kansas City two weekends ago to see my niece graduate which was awesome and while I was there my brother, husband, and I took her to Comicon! We had a great time and saw lots of incredible art of all our favorite super heroes and Anime. And seeing it all got me in the mood to make another Super Hero card. So this time I made a card with Black Widow.

From Jaded Blossom, I used Card Mat Dies and Super Hero! The Black Widow SVG is from Little Scraps of Heaven and the background paper is Sandylion's Marvel Comics collection.

Thanks for letting me share with you today!

Blessings,

You're a Star!

I'm sharing today on the Jaded Blossom blog. Yay!!!

Today I have a simple card that would be a perfect baby card for a sweet boy! And  I'm sure we could find other occasions for it too!

I used the Card Mat Dies and the Superstar stamp set from Jaded Blossom. I also used the Stars Card Front Overlay and the Kawaii Starfish from SVG Cutting Files.

I cut out the background first with my Cameo and then put it through my Cuttlebug with the largest of the Card Mat Dies. I also die cut a piece of yellow cardstock. I then glued both layers together and attached them to the card base. I stamped my sentiment and arranged my stars from the Starfish file on the front attaching them with foam squares.

So glad you came by to have a look! Have a fantastic Tuesday!!!

Blessings,

Jaded Blossom May Release Blog Hop!

Hey Everyone!

Now, if you're here from Lee-Ann's blog, you're in the right place; but if you're just passing through, start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing.  I have the complete line up at the bottom of this post.

Here is what I made:

Well I know that I made a card for you yesterday with this turtle, but it is just so cute that I couldn't help myself to use it again today for the hop!!! Today I have a little gift set to give to a new or expecting momma.

This time I colored the turtle with pinks and grays. I found this sweet background paper and the paper I used for the butterflies and my topper in my scrap drawer; so I am not sure which collection(s) they are from. I love the the Shell-ebrating You sentiment on the card. It is one of the many awesome sentiments that comes with the Turtley Rad stamp set.

I also used Card Mat Dies, Spring Dies 2 (my first time using these and can I just say LOVE!), Border Dies, Mini Tag Dies 2, Scallop Slider and Topper Die, Super Hero, and Super Hero 2 for this project.

Regular Price for the Release Package is $137.99

Birthday in Style! Jaded Blossom May Release Day 5!

It's time for the  Jaded Blossom May Release Sneak Peek Day 5!

Today the Jaded Blossom DT is showcasing projects using the new Social Candies and this month's freebie - Birthday in Style.

I used Birthday in Style to make this fun gift set.

I also used the new Envelope Dies and the Stitched Circle Dies. The largest of the new Envelope Dies holds a 3x3 card, so I made my card to fit. The handled bag comes from SVG Cutting Files. I used the Dino Bag. And the rosette is from My Scrap Chick. The blue birthday paper is from Doodlebug Design's Hip Hip Hooray collection. This set was super easy to put together and will make it easy to package a small gift or tuck some candies and a gift card into.

Here is a photo of today's new stamp set:

Dude - Happy Birthday! Jaded Blossom May Release Day 4

It's time for the  Jaded Blossom May Release Sneak Peek Day 4! I think today's stamp set is one of my all time favorites - maybe even my absolute favorite. But that's because I like turtles!!! And I know that you will like the cute little turtle and the fun sentiments on this set too!

Today the Jaded Blossom DT is showcasing projects using the new Turtley Rad stamp set.

I decided to ink up the turtle and to stamp directly to my back panel for a one layer clean and simple look! I also decided to continue layering on the greens to give it a monochromatic feel. I just love how it turned out!!! Using the smaller version of the turtle, I made some candies to match.

Other Jaded Blossom products used; Card Mat Dies, Funny Bunny, and Paint Splatters 2

Isn't this just the cutest!!! My son saw it and just loved it! He asked me to make a non birthday version for a friend of his at school who also really likes turtles. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design's new Anchor's Aweigh collection. I used Papertrey Ink's New Leaf cardstock for the base. Everything was stamped directly onto the background panel. When I stamped on the turtle though, it looked as if he was just floating around; so I used a stamp from Paint Splatters 2 to give him some dirt to walk through. So that my pile of dirt didn't get too large and my turtle didn't get splattered as well, I masked both the turtle and part of the stamp.

I used Copic Markers to color the turtle. I don't have many markers, but luckily I have just the right colors to work for this guy. I am by no means proficient with my markers (not even close), but I am excited for the challenge of learning. I need to work on my blending technique for sure. And with cute JB images like this, I can't help but want to learn!!! I think that is the best part about crafting and other hobbies - always getting a chance to improve your skills and trying new techniques.

Here is a photo of today's new stamp set:

Turtley Rad

Told you it was a cute set!!!

Remember this stamp set along with the rest of the release will be available for purchase starting Friday at 4 pm Pacific time. You can scroll down to the next 3 blog posts to see my projects from Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday if you'd like.

Then stop back by tomorrow for another sneak in the morning and for our Jaded Blossom Blog Hop starting at 4 pm Pacific time.
