Card Class at The Scrapbook Workshoppe!

I'm so excited to be teaching a card class at The Scrapbook Workshoppe in Blue Springs this Thursday August 2. If you live in the Kansas City area, we would love to have you join us!

We will be making these three cards. The one about uses stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions. I used Copics to color my images and Distress Oxide inks to make the watery background.

The last two cards are made with stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti. The images are also colored with Copics. The above card uses a Distress Oxide as well, but the one below in blended using Memento inks.

I'm very excited! There are three different class times I will be teaching. For more information, call The Scrapbook Workshoppe.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Frog Princess!

Recently Christine Young from Paper Nest Dolls asked me to color one of her images and I have it finished for you today.

This is the Frog Princess file sent to me a digi image, but Christine's store is full of fun rubber stamps as well! I used my Copics to color her and to create the outdoor scene around her. I used Hammermill 110# cover cardstock to print my image. The background paper is from Doodlebug Design and the cardstock base is Papertrey Ink. I used a die from Jaded Blossom but cut off a bit of the cardstock around the edges and finished it off with a sentiment from My Favorite Things.

Copics:
Dress: R81, 83, 85, V01, 000, 0000
Hair: E47, 44, 42, 40

Use your favorite skin tone combo for her skin and green and blue combos for your grass and sky.

Have a wonderful Saturday night and see you back here soon.!

Fairy Magical Birthday!

I started this fairy a couple of days ago and shared it on Instagram as my Day 11 coloring. Was happy to get her finished today to share for Day 13 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I had another marker run out on me - my B000 while coloring the background. Now I'm wondering how many markers 30 days of coloring could empty. Ha, that means plenty of practicing and taking time to do something I enjoy is happening around here!!!

Copic Colors:
Wings: B05, B02, B00
Pinks: R85, R83, R81
Yellows: Y15, Y02, Y00
Hair: E44, E42, and just a touch of E40
Background: B00, B000, B0000, Blender
Use your favorite skin tone combo!

The stamp and sentiment along with both dies are from Jaded Blossom. I colored on Hammermill 100# paper and the cardstock is Papertrey Ink.

Morticia!

A little throwback to the Addams Family today for a challenge I'm participating in over on the Alicia Bel Facebook page. I decided to give Morticia a red dress, but I still like her style!

I used my Copics for my coloring. My C1 ran out of ink in the midst of working on the skin tone. I knew I needed a refill for this marker, but just hadn't bought it yet. Oh well, even if I didn't get the result I was aiming for, I am not disappointed in how it turned out.

Here are most of the colors I used:
Hair: N8, N6, N4
Skin: C5, C3, C1, E000, Blender
Dress: R89, R59, R39, R29
Eyeshadow: RV32, R32, R30
Garden Clippers: C5, C3, C1, RV69, R89, R59
Rose: R59, R29, R27, R24, G99, YG63, YG03

I added glitter to her hair with a Wink of Stella pen. Happily my photo caught some of that shine. I also used some Black Soot Distress Oxide to cover the white framing my image. For the card, I used dies from Jaded Blossom and My Creative Time. The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.

Hello Friend!

It's Day 8 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I'm excited to say that I have shared something everyday so far! But if you want to see days 5-7, you'll have to head over to my Instagram page here or my Facebook page here as I haven't made those colorings into cards. Although my day 6 colorings will be cards soon - yay!

Today, I have a magical image from Alicia Bel to share with you called Happy Unicorn. I am still coloring with my Copics. The wings and hair have been colored with a Wink of Stella pen as well to give them some glitter, but it doesn't show in the photo unfortunately! The background clouds were made with a stencil from My Favorite Things and Broken China Distress Oxide. The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn. And I used a die from Jaded Blossom.

I had colored two of these images and had planned to use the other one for my card as it was a bit more colorful; but when I stamped my sentiment onto the card, I got ink on my image. It was a real reminder that it is best to stamp the sentiment before attaching the image. LOL!
