Dying to Send a Treat to School!

The boys took treat boxes this morning to hand out to friends at school today. Since this is our 1st year in our new school, I'm not sure how well it will go over. Only one note was sent home from a teacher mentioning a class party, but there was no mention of the teacher needing help. This is a new experience for me. We spent four years in a school were parents were encouraged to be in the class room all the time, especially on holidays having big class parties. But true to my desire to do something special for them and their classmates whenever I can, I decided to send some Tombstone boxes. I made 55 boxes and have parts lying around that could be used to make a few more.
The tombstone box is part of the Gimme Candy Boxes Kit from SVG Cuts. I used AC cardstock, BasicGrey DP, and Me and My Big Ideas Halloween Mambi Sheets to complete my project as well as a few miscellaneous papers from my stash. Again I used Memento Ink to ink my edges. On the teacher's version I added pearls. On the inside I stuffed Kraft Paper Crinkle (from Michaels) around Kit Kats and Rolos candies. The teacher's version was made at about 90% the original file size and the boxes for the kids were downsized to 60%.
I will submit this to the following challenges:

Witch's Brew

I'm Witching each and every one of you a Happy Halloween! I made a bit of a witch's brew for my hubby to give to him this morning. The file I used is the Cauldron Treat Box from the Spooky Night Trio at My Scrap Chick. I used American Craft and Papertrey Ink for my cardstock. The stamp in from Punkin Patch Stamps. I used Memento Ink and Papertrey Ink for all the inking. The bat is a die from Spellbinders. Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking a look. I would love it if you would become a follower; and if you do, in return I will follow your blog as well.

Tall Fall Card

I had made a card using this card base a week ago, and thought I'd go back and make it the way Mary designed it. It comes from the Caramel Apple Pie kit from SVGCuts.com. This is such a beautiful card - the picture does not do it justice. The DP was in my stash and the Cardstock is AC. I used Memento Inks for inking the edges and I added a button and some pearls.

Update: I ended up giving this card to a dear friend when her 108 year old great-grandmother passed away. It is hard to make sympathy cards; but with a passing of someone in the fall season, this card is a good choice.

Franky will Spook Your Socks Off

Little Scraps of Heaven is having a Card Sketch Challenge running through October 27th. I used Franky from the Creatures of the Night Set. I knew I had to have this set the moment I saw it.

I have had the DP in my stash for a couple of years, so I can't tell you where it came from. I used Spellbinders and Martha Stewart punches. The stamp is from Punkin Patch Stamps. All the jewels were in my stash as well. I used Memento Inks to ink my edges. I will be entering this is into a couple of extra challenges as well. Have a Spooktacular Day. And please, if you would, I would appreciate you following my blog.

Fall is in the Air

Moving to Ohio a couple of months ago has been a great move for us. And I am so happy we arrived here just in time to enjoy the fall season. Fall has always been my favorite time of the year. Here in Ohio, the leaves are changing colors. I love seeing all the shades of green, yellow, and orange; but my favorite is the reds. It is so beautiful!!! In honor of the changing season, I put together the Fall Leaves card from the SVG Cuts Leaves are Falling kit. It is a great card and so easy to put together.

My patterned paper is from the BG Sweet Threads collection and the cardstock is AC. I used my Color Box chalks and Momento ink pads to ink the edges. The sentiment is from Pumkin Patch's Heirloom Traditions. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking a look. I'd appreciate it if you would start following my blog and I'd be happy to do the same for you!

Witching You a Happy Halloween!

I am entering this layout in the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs weekly DT challenge. My daughter decided to be a witch for Halloween this year, so I thought it would be fun to get a layout ready for pictures from Halloween night. I used the Raggedy Witch file for my paper piecing.
