Halloween Card!

I'm so excited to be sharing another Halloween creation with you! It is my day to post
for the Jaded Blossom Blog.

To get started, I dug through my stash to find the Jaded Blossom Halloween stamps and dies that I would use - Halloween Paint Splatters, Halloween Panels, the new Halloween Banner Dies, Happy Halloween Word Dies (the September Release Freebie), and Halloween Dies.

I started with a piece of white watercolor paper and used my brand new Distress Oxide Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Twisted Citron to make my background. (Love the new Oxide Inks way better than the old Distress Inks.) I then used my Black Soot to stamp the cracks from the Halloween Paint Splatters set and the Spider with its web from the Halloween Panels set. I then diecut the Witch's Hat, Happy Halloween words (cut and layered 3x), and the bats and then added them using various mediums. The black cardstock is all Papertrey Ink True Black.

Leave a comment letting me know which Jaded Blossom stamp or die set is your favorite for Halloween. And let me know if you have tried the new Distress Oxide Inks. Do you love them as much as I do?!!

Blessings,

Happy Halloween! Jaded Blossom September Release Day 5!

It's Day 5 of the Jaded Blossom September Release and I have a Boo of a card for you!

I used the freebie of the month - Happy Halloween Word Die.

I started with some watercolor paper and distress inks and made my background. I splattered it with Distress Paint and then stamped on my images from Halloween Panels and Halloween Paint Splatters. The happy stamp is a from So Many Birthdays 3. And to finish it off, I added my new favorite Halloween Dies - these sweet little ghosts from the Halloween Banner Dies.

I love how it turned out even if I added my Halloween script a bit crooked. LOL!

This set just makes me laugh!!! I paired it with the Goody Bag Die to make this fun treat bag! I may have to give it to my husband for Halloween. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color the Voodoo doll, Doodlebug Design paper for the bag, and Zing embossing powder.

No Bones About It! Jaded Blossom September Release Day 3!

It is Day 3 of the Jaded Blossom September Release and today there is two stamp sets to share - Magical Halloween and Purrfect Halloween.

I just made a simple card today! I used this month's spotlight stamp set - Halloween Panels - as well. I emboseed the skeleton stamp and the sentiment with Zing Black Embossing Powder on Orange Zest Cardstock by Papertrey Ink. The panel was cut out with the Rectangle Dies 1. The patterned paper in the background was cut using the Card Mat Dies. I layered both pieces on a card base using Papertrey Ink's True Black Cardstock. I cut the spider and the bat from the Halloween Dies.

Welcome Fall! Jaded Blossom September Release Day 1!

It is September release time at Jaded Blossom. This time of year is my favorite as it is time for Halloween and fall crafting and this new release is sure to help you along.

Today we are showcasing the new Pumpkins, Pumpkin Faces, and the Fall Banner Dies.

Fall means pumpkins and sunflowers and harvest and even cinnamon and caramel popcorn. Yum!!!

I used the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Halloween collection and some Kraft Cardstock from Papertrey Ink to make my tag - Luggage Tag Die. To decorate it, I stamped two pumpkins from the new Pumpkins set onto some patterned paper and fussy cut them out. I colored in the stem with a Copic marker. I diecut the sunflower from the new Fall Banner Dies. The wheat stalks are from the Autumn Panels set and the sentiment is from Happy Fall. Both were added using Zing Copper Embossing Powder. It is such a pretty tag - I wish you could see it in person!!!

The new release will be available this Friday, but if you can't wait ...

Feel Better Soon! Craftaholics R Us #35!

It is time for the Craftaholics R Us Challenge #35!

This week's theme is "Get Well"!

I decided that I would give my hand a try at the Vintage Flowers stamp set from Altenew again. The first time I used this stamp set, I didn't do any layering of the flowers. I'm glad I did this time, as I love how my flower turned out!

Supplies Used:
Altenew: Vintage Flowers Stamp Set
Jaded Blossom: Simple Sayings 2, Layered Frame and Journal Die, and Card Mat Dies
Authentique: Latest and Greatest 6x6 Paper Pad
Papertrey Ink: Stamper's Select White Cardstock

What a beautiful wait to say Feel Better! I can't wait to see all your "Get Well" cards and crafts!

Blessings,

Happy Birthday Panda!

I'm posting for Jaded Blossom today and decided to use the new Pandas are Awesome
stamp set for this sweet birthday card.

The cardstock and patterned paper are from Papertrey Ink - Stamper's Select White, True Black, and True Black Pattern Pack.

This card was made for my son's first party invite in Middle School. He was invited by a young lady. I feel like I am entering into a whole new realm of "I don't know if I like this!!!" LOL!

So glad you dropped by my blog! See you again real soon!

Magical!

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #348!

So recently I made a bunch of invitations for my daughter's birthday party. I colored up this dragon several times and had a few left over, so I decided to use one to make a quick card to enter into this week's challenge. I even decided to modify my scheme for the invitations to fit into this week's sketch. I'll share those invites soon now that the party is over - we had it this last Saturday and it was so much fun. Can't wait to share what we did for the party with you too!!! But for now, this is my card with lots of white space. I used post it notes to mask off first the bottom and used New Sprout Memento Ink to lay down some grass. Then I masked a small section behind the dragon and used the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil to make a sky. I colored the dragon with Copics. He was popped up using foam squares and I added some pink jewels to finish it off. Definitely gave it a clean and simple look and I'm really liking how it turned out!

Thanks, MFT, for another fun sketch challenge to stretch my creativity!

Blessings,
