Present to Go!

Received this sweet digi from Di's Digi Stamps as a freebie in the Kit and Clowder group and I just couldn't wait to color it up. There is just way too much cuteness going on and I am also a sucker for presents, especially birthday presents!

I used the following Copic combos:

Present: C9, R39, 37, 35, 22
Bow on the Present: V09, 06, 04
Fur: E47, 44, 43, 41, 40
Bow on the Bear: C7, R29, 27, 24
Little Bear's Shirt: BV17, 13, 11
Ground: C3, 1, Blender
Background: a little B0000 around the image

For my shading, especially for the present box, I used lots of techniques from the free Markers 101 class from kitandclowder.com and techniques I have learned in a few of the other classes I have taken from there as well.

The cardbase is Papertrey Ink's Red Poppy cardstock. The dp is from Doodlebug Design. I colored on Hammermill Bright White 100# cardstock. I used a sentiment and die from Jaded Blossom.

Happy Birthday! Craftaholics R Us Masculine Challenge!

Craftaholics R Us has a new challenge up today. This week's theme is Masculine.

I decided to make a Birthday Card.

All my dies and stamps are from Jaded Blossom. The cardstock is Papertrey Ink and the patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design.

Charming Friend, You're Invited! Craftaholics R Us Challenge #41!

It's time for Craftaholics R Us Challenge #41!

This week's theme is an easy one - Anything Goes!!! Yay!

This is the birthday invitation that I made for my daughter's birthday. We had so much fin stamping coloring and assembling these together. Then the best part was that once we had the party, we also taught all her friends to make cards using the same characters - and then they were able to pick a sentiment of their choice and give the card to someone else. It was such a fun party and so full of blessings! The characters are from a My Favorite Things stamp set called Magical Dragons. I also used an MFT stencil for the clouds. The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.

Spooktacular Birthday!

It is my day to post over on the Jaded Blossom Blog, so I have a treat for you today!

I always wanted an October birthday so that I could get Halloween birthday cards; so when my niece had her birthday last week, I couldn't help myself - I had to make a Spooktacular card!!!

Isn't it cute!!! I used Card Mat Dies, Stitched Circle Dies, Halloween Dies, and So Many Birthdays 3. The card base is cardstock from Papertrey Ink.

Hope you are getting excited for some trick or treating. We will be joining my brother and his family at their haunted front yard. I'll share pictures of our hauntingly happy fun!

Happy Birthday Panda!

I'm posting for Jaded Blossom today and decided to use the new Pandas are Awesome
stamp set for this sweet birthday card.

I also used Scallop Rectangle Dies 1, Rectangle Dies 1, Scallop Circle Dies, Stitched Circle Dies, Word Dies, Card Mat Dies (on the inside), and So Many Birthdays 3.

The cardstock and patterned paper are from Papertrey Ink - Stamper's Select White, True Black, and True Black Pattern Pack.

This card was made for my son's first party invite in Middle School. He was invited by a young lady. I feel like I am entering into a whole new realm of "I don't know if I like this!!!" LOL!

I used Stamper's Select White and Plum Pudding cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design. I added a little twine to finish it off. My inspiration for the layout of the card came from the MFT #344 weekly sketch.

Wonderful Birthday Wishes!

Hey, it's Tuesday, and I'm taking over the Jaded Blossom Blog with...

a Birthday Treat that will brighten any birthday!!!

I have used the Lollipop Die, Stitched Square Dies, Label Shape Dies, and Super Hero 2.

I cut out all the dies using paper from Doodlebug Design and some white cardstock. I ran the Stitched Square Die through my machine with an embossing folder to give it the looks of bricks. I then applied some Spun Sugar Distress Ink to it before cutting the square in half. I positioned both sides of the square on my Lollipop Holder the way I wanted them and added the Label Shape Dies over them to cover where I cut the square in half.

Instead of adding a lollipop, I added some candies to a bag and stapled the bag to the inside and then used the closure to hold it shut.

I love the bright Doodlebug papers for this project and hope you have enjoyed it too.

You are One of a Kind!

Today I am sharing a new svg file from SVG Cutting Files. This one is called Parakeets. It will be available in the store this Friday.

I decided to use orange and blues for my card as the orange seems to be a favorite of mine lately and blue coordinates with it so well! After assembling the parakeet to fit on an A2 card base, I used the Card Mat Dies from Jaded Blossom to cut my background from some bright Doodlebug Design patterned paper. I also used Doodlebug paper on my bird. The sentiment is from JB's new stamp set, Pegasus Kisses. 

The parakeet was super easy to put together as Annie's svg files cut and layer so easily. This fun card will be a hit as I know a few bird lovers among my family and friends who would love to receive it.

Another Birthday Card!

Sharing another Birthday Card today using more Doodlebug Design paper 

and dies and stamps from Jaded Blossom.

Loving crafting with orange lately. It has never really been my color, but lately I keep going back to it. I have another project coming up in several days that uses an orange/blue combination.

I used the Card Mat Dies, Star Dies, Border Dies 2, and Party Pants stamp set from Jaded Blossom. The paper is from the Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray collection. Making birthday cards for guys can be a bit hard sometimes, but I really like how both of them I have made this week have turned out.

Have a great Saturday! My boys are coming home from camp later today.

Birthday Time!

We are always needing Birthday Cards, right!!!

My oldest is 13 today! I have my 1st official teenager, oh my!!! And he is off at camp, so I don't even get to see him today. Makes me sad!!! He is a fantastic kiddo and blesses mine and my husband's life immensely!!! Love that boy and can't wait to celebrate with him this Sunday! I'll be making him and my husband both a nice dinner to celebrate since my boys missed Father's Day as well. Then next month we will have a big shindig to celebrate this special milestone!

I started with some great papers from Doodlebug Design and dies and stamps from Jaded Blossom. I cut both papers using Rectangle Dies 1 and then cut the blue birthday paper with the balloon border die from Border Dies 2. I used the Happy Hello stamp set to add my sentiment. I then used foam squares to attach the blue birthday paper at the bottom and then taped it all to a card base. I like the dimension at the bottom of this one.

Just Popping Out to Say Happy Birthday!

Well hopefully by now some of you have gotten those new dies from Jaded Blossom in the mail from last week's new release. I have another idea for them that I am sharing here and over on the Jaded Blossom Blog today!

I used the Envelope Dies to make the cute 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" envelope and only folded and attached it with double sided tape on three sides. I also cut a label from the new Label Shape Dies and stamped the top half of my sentiment and the small turtle from Turtley Rad. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from So Many Birthdays 3. The turtle is colored with Copics. Once finished, I attached it to the front with foam squares. I then cut a banner from the Banner Dies and attached the banner at the top with foam squares as well. I used the Scallop Square Dies to cut a square that is about 3" to write a note on and tucked it and a gift card inside. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design.

Trading Cards! Jaded Blossom June Release Day 5!

One last stamp set to share today for Day 5 of the Jaded Blossom June Release.

Today we are sharing Trading Cards and it is this month's freebie!

I decided to use it to make these sweet little gift bags! I used the Goody Bag Die for the bag and then I though it would be fun to show the versatility of this idea with 3 different sentiments.

The You're Invited sentiment from Invitations Galore would make a fun way to invite friends to a party. Why not give them that bag of candy to get them excited about the party! Hehehe!!!

The Thank You sentiment from the Fired Up stamp set is the perfect way to say thank you to everyone who showed up at your party.

And the Happy Birthday sentiment from So Many Birthdays 3 makes this bag perfect to take along with you if you are headed to a birthday party.

I stamped and embossed all 3 of these and though it is easier to see the copper embossing powder in the photo, I really like the softer look of the white embossing powder. The paper is from Authentique's Sweetness collection.

Birthday Fit for a Warrior! Jaded Blossom June Release Day 1!

It's June Release Time at Jaded Blossom and it is too much fun! Definitely one of my favorites!!!

Today we are sharing two new stamp sets - I Vike You and Shield Maiden - and a new set of dies - the Label Shape Dies.

I have made a birthday card and tag set using I Vike You and Label Shape Dies.

I used a new svg file from SVG Cutting Files called Castle Door Card (It will be in the store this week). I added my valiant viking warrior to the front and then added the label with my embossed sentiment. For the tag, I embossed the viking helmet to a die cut from Candy Charms and Banners and embossed a Happy Birthday sentiment from Turtley Rad onto a banner from Mini Tag Dies 2.

This card could also be an awesome birthday invitation just by changing the sentiment
on the banner to You're Invited from the Invitations Galore stamp set.

Finish off the inside with the time, date, place, and RSVP sentiments also from Invitations Galore.

The paper I used for the castle door is from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline.
