Boo! Halloween Tag 2

I hope you enjoyed your Monday. I want to get back on track for the rest of the month. If you didn't see my last post, I had to give up the 31 Days of October projects as I had special company come in town for the weekend and spending time with them was so very important to me. My family had a wonderful weekend full of blessings!

But counting today, I have time for time for 6 more projects for the month. We'll see what happens!

Here is today's:

Boo! How about another fun tag today. I started with a tag base from My Scrap Chick. I used a piece of Graphic 45 paper for the background. The ghost file with the moon and the Boo word comes from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I stamped the face on the ghost using a face stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps. I finished off the tag with a piece of ribbon from my LSS, a button, and some fun twine from Trendy Twine.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Blessings,

You've Been Boo'd!

It's time for another

The theme is Halloween Treats!!! This one will be fun as we are all getting those last minute treats ready for school parties and such!

I have always liked the idea of secretly leaving a treat on the neighbor's door, ringing the bell, and running off. I haven't done it, but this year I have at least made the boxes. Maybe I'll let the kids give it a try as we have several widows as neighbors.

So here they are:

Can I say, "EASY to put together!!! The box itself is two pieces of paper - the top part of the box and the bottom part. Glue some tabs on both pieces and slide the top over the bottom. Done!!! Nothing better than a quick treat box!!! The box is from SVG Attic's Halloween Character Boxes. The paper for the ghosty top is from Doodlebug Design. It is the Kraft in Color White Woodgrain. It is one of my favorite papers. Anyway I had started these late one night earlier this week. I made the first box with a plain white top and it took me two seconds to say, "No, that's just not going to work! I need a patterned paper!" My next thought was that my local craft store a block down the street carries the Kraft in Color collection year round. So the next morning I was off to pick some up. I'm so glad I did. I really like how they turned out. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Stamps' Bewitched set. It was stamped onto a Labels Ten die from Spellbinders.

Here is a close up of one of them.

So glad you came by today!!! Hope to see you again soon!

Don't forget to link up your treat boxes this week at PDE Linky Party!

Just a Short Note!

Well this is it for 31 Days of October. We had very special company come in today and I just did not have time to complete my project. But I am ok with that. Twenty one days of projects is a great accomplishment and I hope that you all enjoyed them. I am not finished for the month though. I have a scheduled post of tomorrow and then I will be back next week with more creativity to share. For now, I am going to go love on my company. I haven't seen them for a year and a half, so I will not waste the couple of precious days we have.

Blessings,

Holly Favor Bag!

Happy October 21st! Today I have my 21st project to share with you for the month.

This one is Christmas themed. I have a cute bag for you that comes from the Silhouette store.

This is the 3D Holly Favor Bag (#71881). And it is a good sized bag that will hold a fun gift or some treats. I was excited to find it in the Sil store as it will make a great bag to take hostess gifts in for the holiday parties. This bag needed a special paper too. I used paper from Teresa Collin's Christmas Cottage collection. This is just a beautiful set of papers and the quality of the paper is fabulous. I bought lots of this when I found it and I will be very sad when it runs out. I was hoping to add a tag and sentiment before photographing it, but the kiddos arrived home before I finished and I just had to set it aside for homework duty. And I didn't get back to it before the good photographing daylight was coming to a close for the day and I just had to take the picture. I'll still add the sentiment before I use it and maybe will share the update later on.

Thank you for stopping in today. It is always wonderful to have you here!

Candy Corn Kisses!

Happy Tuesday!!! My Royals won again today, so we are up 3-1 in the ACLS. I'm very excited and hoping we make it back to the World Series this year and, of course, hoping for a better outcome than last year. I can't help it, but I love baseball - I have since I was a kid!!!

Well, I am still working on 31 Days of October projects. I have Day 20 for you today and I am so excited about how this card turned out. It is just too adorable!!!

The file I used for this is Candy Mouse from Treasure Box Designs. It was a freebie a couple of weeks back, so now you can find it in the $1 section of the store.

I am thrilled when a card comes together so easily. I knew I had the perfect sentiment the first time I saw this mouse. And then today, it only took one quick flip through the Doodlebug Design's October 31st paper pad to find this paper. The card is A2 size. The banner is from Spellbinder's Pennant set and the stamp is from Scrappy Mom's Stamps.

So glad you were able to stop by today. Now I have company coming in town this weekend so wish me luck that I get my house clean and have time to do several projects before Thursday afternoon. If I don't get my crafting done before they come 31 Days in October might not happen. But I'm so excited about who's coming that it will definitely be worth it!

Treasure Box Design's Howl-O-Ween Blog Hop

If you are looking for the winner of the Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop, it is one post down!

Yeah, today we have had a Facebook Hop going on. The Treasure Box Design Team got together and came up with lots of fangtastic projects using Halloween files from the Treasure Box Designs store.

You can head over to the Treasure Box Designs Facebook Page to start the hop. There are lots of fun prizes to be won at each stop and three grand prizes from Treasure Box Designs.

Here is my project:

I used the Little Gems Pumpkin Kids from Treasure Box Designs for my project. They are just adorable!!!

Both cards were made using Doodlebug Design's paper from the Ghouls and Goodies collection and the October 31 collection. For the banners, I used a Spellbinder's die and stamped them with a sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. To finish off the little girl, I used a bit of Trendy Twine to make bows for her shoes. The mouths were both stamped using Peachy Keen face stamps.

You still have a bit of time to join us for the hop. I hope to see you over on my FB page!!!

Just Because Fall Maple Leaf Card!

It is Day 18 of 31 Days of October projects!

I'm going to be honest and tell you that this card is a replica of a card that I made last year. I had a blog hop yesterday and today and a Facebook hop tomorrow and I needed something easy today. So I remembered making this really simple card last year and just decided to closely replicate.

Here is a link to last year's card so you can see how they are the same and what ways I changed it up a bit. For this card, I used Doodlebug's Fall Friends and Friendly Forest collections. The maple leaf is from SVG Cuts Caramel Apple Pie kit. I finished it off by stamping a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings stamp set.

If you haven't already hopped in the Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills blog hop, you have until 11:59 pm Eastern time to do that today (Oct 18, 2015). All winners will be announced tomorrow. Here is the link to that post.

Tomorrow I am participating in the TBD Howl-O-Ween Facebook Hop. It begins at 8 AM Central time. This is going to be a fantastic hop, so I hope you will join us. Here is a link to the Treasure Box Designs Facebook page, where all the fun begins.

Thank you for dropping by today!!!

Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop!

Welcome to the

Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop!

This hop is all about the beauty of Fall and the haunting spookiness of Halloween all wrapped up in one. So grab a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the thrills and chills along the way.

There are six stops and you won't want to miss any of them!

There is also a complete line-up at the end of this post just in case you need it.

And what would a hop be without
Blog Candy!!!

Each blog has a bit of Candy that needs to be won.

And Here's How:

Be sure to be a FOLLOWER and COMMENT on each blog!!!

If you are a FOLLOWER, your comment could be randomly drawn to win some fantastic prizes!

Read each blog post carefully to see what is being offered at each stop along the way!

Here is my project:

This hauntingly, frightful mage is from Treasure Box Designs' Trouble's Brewing Collection. Doesn't he just spook the socks off of you! Or maybe he just blows you over with all his cuteness!!!

He is on an A2 sized card base. The background paper is from Mambi Sheets Halloween stack from Me and My Big Ideas. I used two sentiments from Punkin' Patch Stamps' Trick or Treat set. They are the Beware and Carpe Noctem sentiments. For my mage, I used some scraps I had from Graphic 45's Jolly Jack-O-Lantern sheet of paper. I love this paper and I only have one sheet left. If you happen to have any of this in your stash, I will welcome the donation. Ok, just kidding - ah, no in fact I would take the donation. LOL! Like I said, I love this paper. The pattern can be used for so many fun projects!!! For his staff, I wanted the crystal ball to shine like the moon. To give it this effect, I cut the shape in a pale yellow and then used Memento Inks to add the color. I used Dandelion, Canteloupe, and Potter's Clay.

And now for the Blog Candy!!!

My prize is being sponsored by Treasure Box Designs.

One lucky commenter (as long as you are a follower of my blog) will win one free file of choice from Treasure Box Designs. That's right, you can pick any file you want from the Treasure Box Store and there are so many to choose from!!!

Remember to win, you need to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment!

You have until Sunday night, October 18th at 11:59 pm EST to hop along with us! All winners will be announced on Monday October 19, 2015 on each individual blog. The winners will also be posted on M Miranda Creations Facebook Page after all the winner posts go live on each blog.

Here's the complete hop lineup in case you need to start at the beginning! Enjoy!

Baby Jack and His Parents!

Falltastic Friday to you!!! Today I have a cute project featuring a Jack-O-Lantern family.

Don't they all just look so happy!!! They are from the SVG Cuts Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit.

For the two larger boxes, I used paper from Basic Grey' Sweet Threads and Little Black Dress collections. For Baby Jack-O-Lantern, I just used some basic black and orange cardstock.

To finish it off, I added some green crinkle ribbon to the top that I had won from Little Scrap Pieces. The Little Scrap Pieces blog hosts a new Linky every Saturday and always gives away a nice little sampling of this ribbon in 8 different colors.

Thank you, Little Scrap Pieces!!!

BIG NEWS!!!

I hope you will come back at Midnight (12 AM EST) tonight. When the clock strikes Midnight, the Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop begins. It all starts right here on my blog and only has 6 stops with prizes to be won at every stop. This link ~~~Here~~~ will activate at Midnight and take you right to my post that kicks it all off!!!

Hot Cocoa Gift Mug

Ok, I know I said yesterday that I am not quite ready for Christmas and I meant it; but I do have another project for you today that leans in that direction. Or maybe it is more of a winter project and I'm really not ready for winter!!!

But here it is:

I used a file from My Scrap Chick to make this! I have to be honest and tell you that I have no idea what the name of the designer paper is for this. Sorry! For the rim of the mug and snowflakes I added very fine white glitter. I attached the snowflake to the front with a pop dot and wrapped the cup with a piece of twine. From the ends of the twine, I hung the little silver bells.

Well I hope you enjoyed Day 15. I will be back tomorrow with something spooky!

Merry & Bright Reindeer Tag!

I finished up my tag earlier in the day, but didn't think I would find time to post it today. I had to pause my baseball game and just come up here and get it done.

Today is Day 14 of 31 Days of October Projects. Today's tag is Christmas themed. Got to get a few Christmas things going, right!!!Not too many though as I am not a huge fan of skipping Halloween and Thanksgiving and just going into the Christmas season.

Here is my tag using a Bobble Buddies Reindeer from

Unfortunately the Bobble Buddies are no longer in the store, but if you look under the Christmas section there are a few reindeer that look very similar.

This tag was cut from the Fall Leaves Tag from My Scrap Chick with a bit of modification. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye. Sorry I forgot the name of the stack. The sentiment was printed on the paper, so I didn't have to add one. The adorable reindeer was cut, hand inked and chalked and pieced together. He was attached using foam adhesives to pop him off the page.

So glad you stopped by today. Hope to see you again soon!!!

Fall Sunflower!

Hey, everyone!!! How is your Tuesday going? I have been substitute teaching and I went in again today. I've been spending lots of time with junior high kids and really enjoying it!!!

I am excited about today's card. I am excited because I work for a very talented artist and love using her svg files. I had asked Dina from Treasure Box Designs to make a sunflower file and she blew me away with this one. Thank you, Dina!!! It is not in the store yet (this is a sneak peek), but be watching for it real soon!

Isn't it pretty!!! It is not in the store yet, but be looking for it soon.

I started with a A2 card base and used a patterned paper from Simple Stories' Harvest Lane collection for the background. I pieced together the sunflower using a nice honey colored cardstock and inked it with Memento Ink's Potter Clay. It is one of my all time favorite ink colors especially for fall projects. For the banner, I used a die from My Craft Spot (no longer in business) and stamped it with a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Simple Saying set. I was having trouble stamping today and just couldn't decide on a color or sentiment. The problem was mostly that I couldn't get an even amount of color on any stamp I chose, so I know it was user error. I went through four banners before deciding this one would work and using it. I will probably do it again later and replace the one that is on there. One of these days, I am going to get a Misti tool to help me with my stamping woes.

When I was putting together my sunflower I wanted lots of dimension; so I added foam tape between each layer of the flower and then I used another strip to adhere it to my card.

So very glad you stopped by today. Loved having you here!!!

Blessings,

PS. If you have not seen the freebie this week from Treasure Box Designs, you should go take a look. It is awesome. You can find it on the Treasure Box Gems FB group or the TBD blog.
You will not regret picking this one up:

Tiger with a Backside!

Here is the last post I have in the Treat Box with a Backside series I've done the last couple of days. These are just adorable, and as I used them and shared in my first post - they are perfect for zoo/safari themed baby showers or parties.

This is Tiger Treat Box with a Backside from My Scrap Chick. I do mention something that I did not mention in my first two posts, The actual box part on this file does not have score lines already there. They have to be hand scored. Maybe one of these days My Scrap Chick will do an update on them and change that as it would make it a lot easier for those of us who use an electronic die cutting machine to cut them. For those who hand cut, I'm sure it doesn't make a difference.

This series of boxes also includes a lion, hippo, and elephant that I did not make; but if you would like to see my zebra, that post is here; or my giraffe, that post is here.

Well I hope you have been enjoying my 31 Days of October posts to this point. Today is Day 12.

I have some exciting things coming up in the next week:

~ On Saturday, I will be a part of the Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop and you can find more info on the FB Calendar Event here. The fun will start at Midnight EST right here on my blog on October 17, 2015 with several prizes to be won. Be ready for lots of thrills and chills!!!

~ Then on Monday, October 19, I will be a part of the Treasure Box Designs' Howl-O-Ween Facebook Hop. The whole TBD Design Team will be sharing super fun inspiration and fabulous prizes. It will be a scream!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed the Treat Box with a Backside mini series and that you will continue to join me throughout the month of October for 31 Days of fabulous fun!

I hope you will become a follower here on my blog (links in the right side bar)or on Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram (links underneath the header).

Giraffe with a Backside!

Hey Everyone!!!! I heard a wonderful sermon this morning about Sabbath - which means "Stop Day." The sermon was a reminder of the Ethic of Disruption. Disrupting our self centered lives to truly focus on God and, just as important, to focus on others. I was blessed to hear it. And I want to thank all of you - though most of you I have never met in person, many of you that stop by regularly are genuine friends full of encouragement and love and I am grateful for you! I am blessed to have you, just as I am blessed to have friends that I see face to face daily who really care, who really stop and take a moment and encourage me, who connect with me on levels of shared interest and then take it further by caring about me as a person. I am truly thankful for all of you!

I pray today that I will grow in the Ethic of Disruption and learn to share more of me with others!

Today for my 31 Days of October project, I want to share a 2nd box that I made for the baby shower that  recently co-hosted. I shared the first one yesterday, here.

This one is called Giraffe Treat Box with a Backside and is also from My Scrap Chick. I love working with Kristi and Val's files because I know them not only to be talented with SVG files, but they are both genuinely loving people and I appreciate them both.

The giraffe is probably my favorite. I really like how these boxes are finished off in the back. It makes for a super cute gift!!!

Thank you for stopping through my Zoo today. I have one more animal to share tomorrow!!!

I hope you will become a follower whether here on my blog; or on my Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram page.
