This morning, though, we have another sneak peek for you. We are showing you the last set of the release, Holiday Gift Tags, and this month's freebie, Oh Christmas Tree.

I have used Holiday Gift Tags, along with Jaded Blossom's Mini Tag Dies 2, the new Christmas Kindness stamps, and Panel Dies to dress up this fun Christmas Tag Box from SVG Cutting Files

The paper I used is from Teresa Collins.

This box of tags makes a perfect early gift for friends and family who love to decorate their packages with homemade tags like you do.

Hope to see you later today for the hop!

Holly Favor Bag!

Happy October 21st! Today I have my 21st project to share with you for the month.

This one is Christmas themed. I have a cute bag for you that comes from the Silhouette store.

This is the 3D Holly Favor Bag (#71881). And it is a good sized bag that will hold a fun gift or some treats. I was excited to find it in the Sil store as it will make a great bag to take hostess gifts in for the holiday parties. This bag needed a special paper too. I used paper from Teresa Collin's Christmas Cottage collection. This is just a beautiful set of papers and the quality of the paper is fabulous. I bought lots of this when I found it and I will be very sad when it runs out. I was hoping to add a tag and sentiment before photographing it, but the kiddos arrived home before I finished and I just had to set it aside for homework duty. And I didn't get back to it before the good photographing daylight was coming to a close for the day and I just had to take the picture. I'll still add the sentiment before I use it and maybe will share the update later on.

Thank you for stopping in today. It is always wonderful to have you here!

Blessings,

St. Patty's Bear!

I have super fun news! I have joined the Treasure Box Designs DT. This super fun and very easy card is my first DT post. I'm excited about the new adventure!

I have used the Fall Bear from the $1.00 section of the store. I just swapped his fall leaf for a shamrock. I also made him to sit down instead of stand up.

I always start my cards by putting them together in my Cameo DE software first. I like to get an idea of what they will look like before I even start cutting. And if I don't like what I see on the screen, I usually just scrap the idea or fiddle around with it until I do like it. I decided I wanted my bear to sit instead of stand; so when virtually piecing it together, I just changed up the right and left leg so that the feet would point up. I then removed the fall leaf, found a shamrock, and sized it to fit the way I liked it. Once I was happy on the screen, I cut a piece of #110 white cardstock to make a 4 1/2" square base. I added a background paper from Teresa Collin's Christmas Cottage paper collection. I cut my bear and pieced him together and popped him on the card using foam squares. I then tied my Twisted Lime Trendy Twine around the bottom and stamped on my sentiment. I found the sentiment in a dollar bin last year at a LSS store.

For added dimension on my bear, I used inks, chalks, and my gel pen. The little extras give the piecings a bit more character!

I'm so glad you stopped by today! I hope you will leave a comment as I truly appreciate them and enjoy reading them. You can also find my cards and other projects on my Facebook and Pinterest pages.

Blessings,

Guest Designing for Jaded Blossom - Elf with Sign Gift Bag

Happy Sunday, friends!!! Today I am Guest Designing with Jaded Blossom. I want to send a huge thank you to Candace and Michelle for the opportunity.

I find myself needing gift bags of all types and sizes as Christmas approaches, so I thought I would share one with you. I think it turned out super cute and I hope you like it too.

I decided to start with a file that I go back to time and time again. It is the Dinosaur Handled Bag from SVG Cutting Files. I really like the shape of this bag and it is so super easy to assemble. I used a sheet of patterned paper from the Christmas Cottage collection by Teresa Collins. For the elf, I used a file that I have had for a while from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs called Christmas Elf with Sign. He has been on my list to make for a couple of Christmas's now, so I am glad I finally did. (Unfortunately I could not find him in the store now. Sorry about that.) His face is from the Peachy Keen Christmas in July Face Assortment. Before attaching the little guy to the bag, I wrapped the bag with a piece of crinkle ribbon and tied a bow. I then threaded my button with some Holly Berry Trendy Twine and again tied that into a bow and attached it to the ribbon. I finished it all off with a sentiment from Jaded Blossom. I used a stamp from the Christmas Wishes set. This stamp set is one of my favorites and I go back to it over and over again as well.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

Well after finishing up the bag, I couldn't help but think that the little guy would also make for a sweet gift card holder too; so back to the crafting table I went!

I again used pattern paper from the Christmas Cottage collection and cut out a policy envelope cut file (not sure where I got this one from). The envelope measures 2 1/2"x3 3/4". I decided to change the elf up by reversing the colors and of course finished him off with another sentiment from the Christmas Wishes stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

(Edit to my post: Found my policy envelope - It is from SVG Cutting Files: Decorative Edge Policy Envelope and you can find it here.)
Make sure you stop by the Jaded Blossom blog and leave a comment on my post and all the other Guest Design posts for this month. There are prizes that will be won by someone for doing so!

Thank you for dropping by here!
I invite you to follow me on my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Blessings,

Santa Pants!

It seems I have been creating several Christmas in July projects over the last couple of weeks. But nothing was 3D. Well my fingers said, "No way, that has to be changed." I just had an itch to watch flat pieces of paper form into something fun. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did putting it together. Thanks to Mary at SVG Cuts for all her fantastic SVG files!

I used the Happy Holidays SVG Kit from SVG Cuts. Mary's files are always amazingly designed, but all the kits having varying degrees of difficulty in putting them together. This one had a panel that really challenged me, but the end result was worth it! This is a fantastic gift bag! (Great thing about SVG Cuts is the video tutorials for every kit. It makes putting their files together so much easier.)

I wish my photo did the colors of the paper more justice, especially the cuff pieces at the bottom! The paper has the prettiest snowflake pattern. I used the Christmas Cottage papers by Teresa Collins that have popped up on my projects several times recently. I bought several sheets from an online store that had it on sale after Christmas last year and I am so glad I did. Not only are the colors and designs beautiful, but the quality and texture of the paper are wonderful to work with.

The ornaments on the pant leg are from Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament pack. These are some of my favorite dies! I stamped the reindeer and sentiment on using the Jaded Blossom Christmas Wishes stamp set. The rumple ribbon was bought at an Etsy store a couple years ago, so I don't remember the name of the store. But there are several great places to get it from if you are interested.

The gift bag measures 7.3" wide by 13" high with a diameter of 3.6" according to the SVG Cuts site. It really is a nice sized bag for giving a gift or actually two since it has two leg compartments. It would also make a great focal piece for a mantle or on a table at a Christmas Party/Dinner. I hope you will give this gift bag a try!

If you do, I would really enjoy seeing it. You could stop by my FB page, M Miranda Creations, and post a photo with a link to your blog, so I could read up on your adventure about putting it together and hear about how you intend to use it!

Tree-mendous Traditions

Today and tomorrow Craftin' Desert Divas is joining up with Lovebug Creations for Christmas in July FB hop. There is a whole lot of inspiration to be seen over the next two days. I hope you will join us! To participate in the hop and have a chance to win a few prizes, stop by me FB page, M Miranda Creations, for all the details.

My card pairs up Craftin' Desert Divas Holly Day Punnies stamp set with Simply Red Rumple Ribbon from Lovebug Creations.

I did something a bit different for me this time. My card measures 3 7/8" by 9 1/4". This allowed me to really stretch out the tree that comes from the Christmas Tree set from KaDoodle Bug Designs. I like the unusual shape and size yet simple design.

Christmas Bumble Bear

I'm so excited to be a part of the KaDoodle Bug Designs and Peachy Keen Stamps Christmas in July FB hop. Mix these two great companies together and you get a whole lot of cuteness going on!

It is a week long hop (Monday - Friday) and we are on Day 4. If you would like to join in on the fun and have a chance to win some fabulous prizes, head on over to my FB page,
M Miranda Creations, for all the details.

I want to share my card here on my blog as well to give more details on all the supplies I've used and to enter it into a few challenges.

I combined the Busy Bee Bears and Christmas Trees sets from KaDoodle Bug Designs with the Peachy Keen Stamps Christmas Greeting Words to make this super sweet Christmas card.

I think this Bumble Bear is adorable all decked out in Christmas colors. And I like that he is decorating his Christmas tree as this is probably my favorite Christmas tradition each year. I just changed out the heart the bear was carrying for a bulb and used Totally Natural Trendy Twine to attach it.

For the card base, I found this A2 Tabbed Card with Scalloped Sleeve by Lori Whitlock in the Silhouette store.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and are ready to get your Christmas cards going for this season. It will be here quicker than you think!

Believe!

It is December and you know what that means! Soon Santa Claus and his eight tiny reindeer will be prancing across the roof tops. I love this time of year! There is still a lot of good happening in the midst of all the commercialism. The name of Jesus is still heard by those who have ears to hear. Many will give a helping hand to those in need. It truly is a time to be celebrated as the birth of Jesus changed the world. If you know not my Lord, I pray you will hear his voice calling to you this season! It truly is a wonderful time of the year!

As I believe in Jesus, I also believe in the spirit of giving. The giving of love, of our time and resources, and of gifts to brighten the eyes of children on Christmas morning. I believe that Santa is a  symbol of that giving during this holiday season and I do not believe that including the make believe into my holiday diminishes it in any way; and so we include Santa in our celebrations.

This Santa is an svg file from svgcuts.com and comes from the Santa's Visit kit. The paper is from the Teresa Collins collections called Christmas Cottage. It is a thick cardstock patterned paper and I love working with it. The colored cardstock is American Crafts and another from my stash that I cannot remember the manufacturer. I used both Cuttlebug and Sizzix embossing folders. And of course I used inks to ink all my cuts. The stamp is from Punkin Patch stamps and it came with a free svg cut to outline it.
