For the Basketball Coach - Thank You! Die Cuttin' Divas' Guest Designer

Hey, all! I love when I get a chance to guest design on the

The Theme for Challenge #260: Sports

That's right, this week you can use your electronic die cutting machines or your regular die cuts and make anything that has to do with sports.

And I just love it when a challenge project coincides with my life. This last weekend I needed a card for my son's basketball coach. They went 15-0 for the season and had a party to celebrate their championship win. It was good to hang out with the team one more time.

Here is the card I made:

I used the Hoops collection from Treasure Box Designs for the basketball. I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I cut my background using Graphic 45's Good Ol' Sport collection and Jaded Blossom's Card Mat Dies. I then cut a piece of black cardstock from Papertrey Ink to give it a border. I used Jaded Blossom's Supersized Thank You stamp set for the sentiment and stamped Thank You using Black Soot Distress Ink (I need to replace my Memento Black Tux ink or I would have used it). I then die cut a border from Jaded Blossom Border Dies and finished off the card by cutting the basketball from Hoops with my Cameo, piecing it together, and then popping it on the front with foam adhesive. Before I adhered it, I decided how much of the right side needed to be trimmed from the basketball and used my paper trimmer to trim it off.

I hope you like this one. Coach seemed to like it along with a gift of photography I gave him from the Championship game. I took a photo of his son shooting a free throw that caught him in mid air. I blew it up to a 5x7 and put it in a frame. Photos always make nice gifts, especially for those who are too busy coaching our kids to take photos of their own.

Hope you will join us for the challenge. I know you will enjoy it and all the challenges at Die Cuttin' Divas. Have a great Tuesday!!!

Blessings,

Ever After!

I am so excited to be Guest Designing for

The theme is March Anything Goes!!! (My Favorite! HaHa!)

I have made a card for my project today.

I did something a bit different and made this one smaller than I my usual A2 size. This one is 3.25" wide and 4.5" high. My background panel was cut out of the same kraft paper as the base just 1/8" smaller in both directions. I added faux stitching with my white gel pen. I then used some Jaded Blossom dies and an SVG file from Treasure Box Designs to decorate the card. The rose is from the Treasure Box Designs Rose Shapeez Card. I cut it with my Silhouette Cameo electronic die cutting machine. From Jaded Blossom I used the Luggage Tag Dies, Bow Dies, Mini Tag Dies 2, and the Wedding Wishes stamp set. This is the perfect card to stick in a gift bag for a wedding or wedding shower gift or a birthday present for a little princess. And if you change the sentiment it will also make a great just because or thinking of you card. The possibilities are endless. I just love a card that can fit lots of different occasions!!!

I have been blessed to join the Crafting by Designs Challenge Blog for this challenge. I hope you will stop by and see the incredible inspiration by their Design Team! And, of course, we can't wait to see your creative projects through the month of March!!! You can link up here! And look for their other challenges throughout the month as well!

Say It With Love - Die Cuttin' Diva's Guest Designer!

Happy Tuesday!!! I am excited to be the Guest Designer once again for

The theme this week is - Say it With Love!

Here is my card:

I made a card last month with this sketch design and liked it so much that I thought I'd try it again.

I used a lot of Jaded Blossom goodies to make this card. I took an A2 black card base and added the background paper using a piece of patterned paper from my scrap stash.  I then die cut a Luggage Tag with the back layer in red and the front using the opposite side of the paper I used for the background. On that top layer, I stamped the owl, the branch, and the Hoo Loves You Baby? sentiment from the You're a Hoot stamp set. To answer the question, I die cut a scalloped circle tag from the Mini Die Tags 2 set and stamped it with the sentiment I Do also from You're a Hoot. For the piece that looks like washi tape, I used the Valentine Designer Tapes, stamping it with black ink on red and cut around the edges. I adhered the faux washi tape directly to the card, used pop dots to add the tag, and finished it off by stamping the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment on the top right corner from Simple Sayings Valentine Edition

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join the whole team at Die Cuttin' Divas this week as they "Say it With Love"!!!

Scaredy Cat - August Jaded Blossom Guest Designer

Today I am sharing my last Guest Design Team project over on the Jaded Blossom blog. I have had such a great time working with everyone over there this month!!!

Halloween is my favorite holiday to craft for and it will be here before we know it! Yeah!! So today I am sharing this super spooky pencil gift using Jaded Blossom's Meow and Forever stamp set and the Label Dies that were both released this month.

I started this project with a clear bag measuring 2 1/4" x 8". Mine is from Annie's Paper Boutique, but you can also find them in the JB store. I filled it with pencils and then got to work on my tag. The tag is from the Silhouette store. I altered it considerably to make it the shape and size I wanted. I also used my internal offset function to make a top layer for it. That top layer was cut using Doodlebug Design's October 31st collection. This is a super cute collection of papers!!! The paper piecing is from My Scrap Chick and is called Scaredy Cat. I ran the Label Die through my Cuttlebug and then did some masking to my Scaredy Cat sentiment to stamp it as I did. I added a piece of ribbon through the top using a button and some Totally Grape Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique. I also wrapped some more twine around my clear bag of pencils a few times and tied that off with a bow. I then used foam squares to attach my cat piecing and my spider embellishment to the top of the tag and then used foam tape to attach the tag to the clear bag. It is a spooktacularly fun project!!!

You can also find this project, as well as all my other GDT projects from this month, on the Jaded Blossom Blog. I hope you will stop by there to check them out along with all the inspiration of the Jaded Blossom Design Team!

Jaded Blossom August Release Blog Hop - Guest Designer

Hey Everyone!

Now if you're here from Candace you're in the right place; if you're just passing through, start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing. I also have the complete line up at the bottom.

I know you have been waiting all week for this hop! And I have really enjoyed sharing projects with you as this month's guest designer!!! Thank you, Candace and Michelle, for making me a part of the JB family for the month of August. This month's release has so many great stamp sets for so many occasions.

For my hop project, I decided to use the stamp set Encouragement again and to make my own tag using one of the border dies from the new Label Dies:

So today, I am "Sending You Lots of Encouragement"

I used the fun acorn box from the Acorn Autumn SVG Kit from SVG Cuts. I made the large one at the size it imported and then reduced the file to make two smaller acorns. The designer paper is from Basic Grey. The embossing on all three lids was done with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder.

I used one of the border dies to make my sentiment from the new Label Dies. To do it, I took a piece of paper that was about an inch wider than the sentiment and ran the die through my Cuttlebug on one side then turned the paper the other direction and ran it through again leaving just enough space to add my sentiment. I then stamped my sentiment. Once the sentiment was stamped, I knew how wide the tag needed to be. That allowed me to die cut both sides using just the straight portion of the border die. I hope that all made sense. LOL! There are so many ways these fun border dies can be used!!!

I think this sentiment is done in such a great font. You could practically make any kind of treat/gift box, fill it with some fun candies or a small gift, and use this sentiment and you'd have a wonderful gift to brighten anyone's day.

Here's what I created

I love this sentiment from the Freebie set called The World! I love my family, my friends, and my community deeply. This sentiment will be used often. I started by cutting just the bag from the Dinosaur Handled Bag file from SVG Cutting Files. I cut it using some sweet paper from Graphic 45. I then cut out the world using the Teachers Rock collection from Treasure Box Designs and attached it to the front with foam tape. I cut some stars from the Out of This World Collection also from Treasure Box Designs and added them with foam tape as well. I then cut the banner from a Miss Kate Cuttables collection and added the sentiment and attached it. This will be a fun treat bag to leave on my hubby's desk. It is important to let him know how much he means to me often!!!

August Sneak Day 4 - Jaded Blossom Guest Designer

It's Day 4 of reveal week at Jaded Blossom Stamps today. I have another fun project to share today. You can find all of today's DT projects on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

There is one stamp set to be revealed today.

It is called Encouragement and it has some great sentiments on it!!!

So today I just want to say - You Are Amazing!!!

I have a fun tote to share with you today. It is the Nail Polish Tote by Lori Whitlock. I have used this tote before, but have always enlarged it to fit bigger items. This time I actually wanted to put some fun nail polish colors in there to make a fun gift to give someone who I truly think is amazing - my daughter!!! For this side of my tote, I used 2 pieces from the title of the Little Diva file from Treasure Box Designs. I layered them and enlarged them to fit the sentiment. I then added the flower to give it a bit more pop!

And this is how I decorated the other side of the tote. For this side, I also use the Little Diva file. I used Doodlebug Design's Sugar Shoppe collection for the panels on the sides.

Here is today's reveal:

Encouragement

August Sneak Day 3 - Jaded Blossom Guest Designer

It's Day 3 of reveal week at Jaded Blossom Stamps and I am excited to be sharing another project today. You can find all of today's DT projects on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

There are two more stamp sets again today!!!

They are 'Meow and Forever' and 'Kitty Dress Up'.

Today I am sharing a project with you using the "Fur You" and "Congratulations of Your New Fur Baby" sentiments from the Meow and Forever stamp set.

How awesome are these sentiments!!! I always have friends getting new fur babies and your pets really do become a part of your family. We have 2 kitties and I just don't know what I'd do without them. So for this project, I made a kitty treat holder of course!!!

Starting with the treat holder file from My Scrap Chick called Kitty Trio (I think), I cut all my pieces and assembled the box. As I was putting together the face, I stamped the whiskers on using the Tear Kitty Face Parts by Peachy Keen Stamps. After assembling the main part of the box, I put together the paws; stamping the one with the Fur You sentiment. I then cut a banner from the Sentiment Spots file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and stamped it with the Congratulations on your New Fur Baby sentiment. I then used foam tape to first layer the paws and then the banner to the front of the box. Then I took some kitty treats and put them into a Small Candy Sack and tied it off with some natural Trendy Twine which are from Annie's Paper Boutique. Just add a bit of crinkle paper to the bottom of the box and insert your treats and you have a fun gift to give the animal lover in your life who just adopted a new fur baby!!!

August Sneak Day 2 - Jaded Blossom Guest Designer

It's Day 2  as Guest Designer for the Jaded Blossom Stamps August Reveals! We have two stamp sets to share with you today!!!

They are US Map and Sweet Travels!

Today I am sharing a card using the "You Add Color to My World" sentiment from Sweet Travels:

I started with an A2 card base and added a background using Doodlebug Design's Easter Parade collection. Love the colors in the Doodlebug Design papers. The background piece was cut at 4"x5 1/4". I then cut a piece of white cardstock at 3 3/4"x5 1/4" and ran it on both 3 3/4" sides lining it up right on the edge through my Cuttlebug using one of the border dies in the new Jaded Blossom Label Dies set that was showcased yesterday. I masked off my sentiment and stamped half at the top and then half at the bottom on the label tabs. I then added a paper pieced unicorn from the Teeny Treasures Unicorn file from Treasure Box Designs along with part of the rainbow, the cloud, and the star from the same set. To finish it all off, I added some Doodlebug Design's Glitter Sprinkles in two of the corners.

August Sneak Day 1 - Jaded Blossom Guest Designer

Hey Everyone! I am glad you have stopped by today!!!

Today is Day 1 of the August Reveals for Jaded Blossom Stamps
and I am pretty excited to be joining them this month as the Guest Designer.

The new dies and stamps are fab, and I hope you enjoy all the inspirational projects you will see with them here on my blog as well as the Jaded Blossom blog and all of the DT blogs.

Today we are showcasing the Label Dies and the Picture This 2 Stamp Set.

Here is my project:

I decided to create my own Gift Card Holder using one of the border dies and the Coffee Break sentiment. I started out with a piece of kraft cardstock measuring 4" x 9". On the 9" side, I scored it at 3" and 6". Then I trimmed one of the 4" sides by 1/8" and the other side I ran through my Cuttlebug with the border die to make a decorative front. I then stamped the label tab with the Coffee Break sentiment, added decorative panels using Doodlebug Design's Hello Sunshine collection, added a magnet for a closure, and decorated the front with the drink and coffee beans using the Love U a Latta file from Treasure Box Designs. If you have the Gift Card Die from Jaded Blossom run it through your die cutting machine before adding the decorative panel to the back. The die will make the perfect holder for your gift card. I know a few girlfriends of mine who will love receiving this sweet gift card and it will be fun to give it to them Just Because!
