Morticia!

A little throwback to the Addams Family today for a challenge I'm participating in over on the Alicia Bel Facebook page. I decided to give Morticia a red dress, but I still like her style!

I used my Copics for my coloring. My C1 ran out of ink in the midst of working on the skin tone. I knew I needed a refill for this marker, but just hadn't bought it yet. Oh well, even if I didn't get the result I was aiming for, I am not disappointed in how it turned out.

Here are most of the colors I used:
Hair: N8, N6, N4
Skin: C5, C3, C1, E000, Blender
Dress: R89, R59, R39, R29
Eyeshadow: RV32, R32, R30
Garden Clippers: C5, C3, C1, RV69, R89, R59
Rose: R59, R29, R27, R24, G99, YG63, YG03

I added glitter to her hair with a Wink of Stella pen. Happily my photo caught some of that shine. I also used some Black Soot Distress Oxide to cover the white framing my image. For the card, I used dies from Jaded Blossom and My Creative Time. The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks Beary Much!

It's been Teacher Appreciation Week this week, and this is a card that I made that was suppose to be given to my daughter's teacher. It didn't make it to school with her gift, but we will give it to her at the end of the year.

I used an svg file from Little Scraps of Heaven. The dies for the panels, the word die, and the sentiment are all from My Creative Time. The pretty floral paper is from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss.

Hello Friend!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a digital image from Wee Stamps that are illustrated by Sylvia Zet. This image is just so sweet and puts me right in the mood for spring!!!

The diecut used around the image is from Papertrey Ink - Brushed Off Rectangle Die. I also used Stitched Rectangle Frame from My Creative Time. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye and the white cardstock base is Papertrey Ink.

I used my Copics to color the image on X-press It Blending Card. I am grateful for all I have learned from Kit and Clowder's Skin and Hair online class. It has helped immensely. Next on my to do list is the Clothing Class.

So glad you were able to drop by!

There's No Business, Like Snow Business!

Hey, everyone! Happy Tuesday to you!

This week the Die Cuttin' Diva's are doing a Snowflake Theme Challenge. And as their Guest Diva, I have this cute set to share with you!

For my Die Cuts, I have used the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More from My Creative Time and the Luggage Tag Dies from Jaded Blossom.

To go along with the Snowflake theme, I have used the Inkadinkado Christmas Characters stamp set. I picked this set up at Hobby Lobby for what seems like years ago and I'm excited to have finally used it. This little snowman is just adorable!

I hope you will join the Die Cuttin' Divas team as well this week for some Snowflake fun. There are lots of sweet crafters on that Design Team and they have lots of inspiration to share.

It's Back to School Time!

It's almost time for my kiddos to head back to school. I know that many of you have already sent your kids back to their teachers, but thankfully we still have one more week. I like to start out the first day of school with a fun gift for the teacher. Teachers need to know they are appreciated!!! It goes a long way in making friends with them in my opinion. I plan to make a treat bag to match this card.
Today's card uses the Bushels of Fun collection from Treasure Box Designs.

What a cute cut file!!! I have made an A2 sized card. My background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Lovebug Collection. The border die is from Jaded Blossom as well as the sentiment stamped along the right edge. I used foam squares to attach the mouse with its apple. The thank you die cut is from My Creative Time. I finished off the card using Doodlebug Design's Sprinkles. I used my Cameo to cut the SVG file using Designer Editions software.

Thanks for dropping in today. It's nice to have you here!

Have a Rockin' Birthday! - Guest Designing for Die Cuttin' Divas

(If you are looking for the Sweet Summertime Co-Blog Hop, please click here.)

Do you have a Tween or Teen in your home that you find hard to make cards for? Well then, maybe I have an idea for you today!!!

So excited to be Guest Designing for Die Cuttin' Divas!!!

This week's challenge theme: Anything Goes

Here is a card that I made for my son who has hit the Tween years:

My son's favorite color is purple and he loves music, so this cute Little Gems Rocker file from Treasure Box Designs made it easy to whip up a card for him. I forgot to take a picture of the inside before writing a note to my son, but the sentiment was pieced together from a Jaded Blossom stamp and a My Craft Spot stamp and says: "Have a Rockin' Birthday." I used a black piece of cardstock for the base. The background paper was die cut from a My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular die and is from the We R Memory Keepers Collection - Teen Angst.

So glad you stopped by today!!! I hope you will hit the follower button and keep coming back! I also invite you to stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages.

And please stop by Die Cuttin' Divas and enter your card in to this week's Anything Goes Challenge!

Blessings,

You're My Sweet Teddy Bear...

Happy Monday to you all!!! Today is going to be an awesome day! You ask why... Well, Just Because!!! This is the day the Lord has made after all!!!

If you remember, a couple of weeks ago, I had a celebration giveaway on my Facebook page. Well one of my prizes was a custom card. My winner wanted a birthday card and I have it finished and ready to share with all of you today.

I am using the Make a Wish file from Treasure Box Designs. The bear is so cute hanging on to his sweet gift box. He is ready to open it up and see what goodies lie inside!

The card is A2 size. All the patterned papers are from Doodlebug Design's Hip Hip Hooray collection. The background papers are cut using the My Creative Time Rectangular Stitched Dies. The decorative border strip was created with a Martha Stewart punch as well. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Beary Special Thoughts stamp set. On the inside, the card is also stamped with a Happy Birthday sentiment from My Craft Spot.

Hope you enjoyed today's card and thank you for stopping by!!! I hope you will stop by my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Blessings,

My Stuffie!

If you haven't seen the new Little Gems files from Treasure Box Designs, then you are in for a real treat!!! These cut files are just precious. And when I saw the new file called Little Gems Huggies, I knew I would have to use it immediately!!! I made this card to share with you:

Isn't she just the cutest holding her little Stuffie (Huggie)! My kids have always loved stuffed animals and called them Stuffies and all three of them still sleep with them every night. It makes this mother's heart happy to see them still so innocent.

My cut file stands about 5" tall. To get her this height, I scaled all the pieces of the file until the head measured 2.016" wide. The card base is A2 sized (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). The background paper is from the Sugar Shoppe collection by Doodlebug Design. I just love this paper. The paper was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More from My Creative Time. I have been wanting some rectangular stitched dies for awhile so I finally just broke down and bought them. The sentiment and tag are from the Tiny Tag collection from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). And the fun twine is called Totally Pink and is from Trendy Twine. I'll say it again - the solid twists are some of my absolute favorites!!! Hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!!!

Thank you for stopping by today! You can also see all my latest creations on my Facebook and Pinterest pages or on Instagram @mmirandcreations.

Happy Valentine's Day!

All of the Trendy Gals from Trendy Twine hope that you have a very

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

This year we've done something a bit different as we celebrate this fun day -- Secret Cupid! We were each given a name of one of our sweet design team sisters by our fearless leader, Lesley Ann. We then made a card or a tag and sent it along with some kind of special treat to bring a bit of joy to our mailboxes this Valentine's. And today we are going to share with you all of these very special creations. We hope you enjoy them.

I was honored to create something for my sweet DT sister, Kimberly.

I made a card with a matching gift box.

The card was made using a sketch I found on Pinterest. I used a cut file from My Scrap Chick called Girlfriend Valentine Bear, papers mostly from the Recollections 6x6 Valentine paper pad along with a piece from my scrap bin, and, of course, some delicious Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

The gift box is a cut file from SVG Cuts freebie page. It is called the Octagonal Heart Box. I also used the Recollection papers and various cardstock. The stamp is from My Creative Time and reads "To a Beary Special Friend." And I finished it with a touch of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine
under my flower.

I added some goodies to the gift box; and as I packed up my shipping box, I also put in an embossing folder. I really enjoyed the Secret Cupid fun.

I also want to send a big Thank You!!! to Sukie for sending me some joy to my mailbox. Stop by her blog to see what she sent me and, of course, stop by the Trendy Twine blog to see what all of my DT sisters have to share with you today!!!

Thanks for stopping by. It is always a joy to have you here. I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well.

Blessings,
