Day 3 of Three Days with Rudolph!

This is the last edition in my mini series! And this one may be my favorite!

Jaded Blossom has this sweet stamp set called Hello Deer that has the cutest little reindeer on it and I have been using this cutie for this series.

I have had fun with coloring and think that I may have to color an image a day for awhile. It is exciting to find an interest in something different and coloring images is something I have dabbled in but not really done a lot of. I'm liking it!

The sentiment is from a company that is out of business (sorry!) and the paper is from a retired Carta Bella collection (I'd like to talk them into rereleasing it though.).

The metal dies I used are from Jaded Blossom -
Card Mat Dies, Card Layer Dies 2, and Label Shape Dies.

Day 2 of Three Days with Rudolph!

I'm still having fun with Christmas in July projects and I'm hoping you are getting a head start on your Christmas projects too!

I again used the same Copic Colors as yesterday's card.

I struggled more with the blending this time. I think it was because I was trying too hard to get it to come out like yesterdays coloring and because I added more of the E18 on this one.

The sentiment is from a stamp company that is no longer in business and the paper is the same retired Carta Bella collection that I used for my Day 1 card.

The metal dies I used are from Jaded Blossom:
Card Mat Dies, Card Layer Dies 2, and Scallop Oval Dies.

You Cast a Spell on Me!

Anyone else counting down besides me?! Forty-three days before Fright Night and I just had to make this cutie card for a Halloween smile!

And don't both of these characters just suck you in with those grins!!!

"Yes, Madam Witch, You Cast a Spell on Me!!!"

I made this fun card using the 'Wicked Spooky' and 'Little Gems Wicked' files from Treasure Box Designs. Little Gems Wicked was used for the witches' hat.

The papers are from my paper stash - not sure who they are from; but I used dies from Jaded Blossom to cut them and the sweet ghost - Rectangle Dies 1, Scallop Slider and Topper Die, and Halloween Dies. The sentiment is from a company that is now out of business. And the cute face stamp on the ghost is from Peachy Keen Stamps - PK-1410.

Happy Easter Peep Tags!

I hope you all had a very Happy Easter!!!

I decided to make some tags last minute Saturday night for my kids' packages of Peeps. And when I say last minute, I mean in the middle of the night. LOL!

I used some Doodlebug scraps, the Treat Tag Die from Jaded Blossom, and a sentiment from My Craft Spot (out of business) to make these 3 simple but sweet tags. 

I just cut a bunny peep from my SVG stash with my Cameo and then I die cut my tag with my Cuttlebug. I put the tag together, popped on the peep with some foam, and then added the sentiment. I tied them to the packages using various ribbons from my stash.

Treasure Tag Christmas Dog - Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas Tags

This is the Treasure Tag Xmas Dog from

Treasure Box Designs!

Because I always like to make a piecing my own when I make something, I often change a little something. Usually it is the eyes, but I left those alone on this one. For this little guy, I decided to not use the bone. So now someone will ask, how did you get the outer layer to work for this then. I am going to try to explain how with some screenshots.

So here is the file I used from Treasure Box Designs:

You will notice that the very bottom layer of the tag, the lighter blue color, wraps around the right end of the bone. If I don't want to use the bone, I have to fix that layer in my software before cutting out my pieces. I need to explain upfront that I use the Cameo with the Designer Edition software with all upgrades (vs. 3). I know that what I am about to show you works in other software as well; but because this is all I use at this time, this is the only one I am going to explain it in. Thank you for understanding!!!

To see the photos better, just double click them to make them larger. 

First, I pieced together my dog and the base of the tag minus the bottom layer on my virtual mat. I want to see how it is all going to look to be able to add that bottom layer of the base back correctly.

I then placed my dog over the tag base just where I want him. I still want his ear and hind leg playfully hanging over the edge of the tag. Once I have him where I want him, I hit the offset button (it is the one highlighted in blue in the top right tool strip). 

Before I actually offset anything, I have to make sure that the dog and tag base are all grouped together as one piece. Then click on Offset over in the right box. It will automatically give you an offset layer at 0.125, but I chose to change my offset to 0.100. At this offset measurement, it looks closer to the original layer.

The offset shows up as a line with no color in it. I click on the offset line so that it is the only thing that is highlighted with a box around it and then open up the Fill Color Tool. I choose the color I want from the box that pops up and change the color of that bottom layer.

Voila! Now, I am ready to separate the pieces on my mat and use my Cameo to cut them out.

The embossing was all done using the Sizzix Holly Swirls embossing folder. The background paper for the card is from Doodlebug Design's Sugarplum collection. I used both Totally Black and Holly Berry Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique to add the finishing touches. And as I have done on a few other projects this week, I did change Santa's eyes here as well.

For today's tag, I have used the Treasure Tags Santa and Ornament set.

Isn't this Santa just adorable!!! And he would make a perfect tag for all those Santa gifts that will make their way under your tree this year. I made him in the traditional red colors of Santa, but did not want him to blend into my wrapping paper. So I used the Offset function in my Designer Edition Software to make a shadow layer for him in white. I also changed his eyes like I did on the Angel Tags a couple of days ago.

Here is a close up! The To: and From: are from a stamp set by My Craft Spot that is no longer available, but to and from stamps are pretty easy to come by. I used Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine to tie him to the bow on my package. This color of Trendy Twine is one of my two favorites for this time of year.

As I mentioned, this tag is from the Treasured Tags Santa and Ornament set.

Today's project uses a file from the Christmas Tag Pals from Treasure Box Designs.

Here is the tag for Day 2 and for this one I made a matching gift bag.

This bear caught my eye as I searched through all the Christmas tag files that Dina has in Treasure Box Designs' store. He is just too cute and I liked him so much that I wanted to make a matching gift bag to go with the tag.

To make both of these pieces, I used both colored and patterned cardstock from Carta Bella's Merry and Bright collection. This has been one of my favorite collections of paper ever as a papercrafter. I wish I could get my hands on some more of it!!! The file for the bag is from the Silhouette store. All the stamped sentiments - Don't Open 'Til Christmas and the To and From - are from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The twine I used on the tag is Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique and the ribbon for the handles is just something that I picked up from a local scrap store. To add the handles, I used a hole punch.

Polaroid Pals Mouse!

Hey, Treasure Box Fans, look what Dina has been up to this week!!!

There is a new line of cut files called "Polaroid Card Pals at Treasure Box Designs!

I have had a chance to put one together already and will be working on the others to share in a day or two. This one is Polaroid Card Pals Mouse and it is too cute!!!

What do you think?!!!

I started out by opening the file in my DE software. I then left everything grouped and resized it all so the card base measures 5.5" in height. Leaving everything grouped allows for all the pieces to stay in proportion with the card base. I then ungrouped it all and separated it on my virtual mat in the color combos that I wanted. Once it was cut by my Cameo, I inked and chalked my pieces and then pieced them together. I finished off the inside by adding the back panel to cover up the piecing.

(Other details: Background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Sugarplums collection. The stamps are both from My Craft Spot. Unfortunately MCS is no longer in business which makes me sad every time I use one of Kimberly's stamp sets.)

This sweet guy and his Polaroid frame are old freebies from Treasure Box Designs. You can find the Snowman and a file that includes a Polaroid frame both in the $1 section of the store. 

(Update: The Snowman file is on p.3 of the TBD store and there is a file on p.4 that includes a polaroid frame. I blended a couple of files together to make the card. Go here to find them. Hope this helps those who are trying to find the files to make this cutie!!!)

I just love how my Snowman turned out!!! Snowmen are my fav!!! The card is A2 sized. The background paper, from Doodlebug Design's Sugarplums collection was cut at 4" by 4 1/4". I then took the snowman and the frame and adjusted the pieces to the sizes that would work for my card. The sentiments are from My Craft Spot and were stamped using Weathered Wood Distress Ink. The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch and I finished it off with a red sequin. 

I think he is just cute as can be and I hope you like my Snow Guy too!!!

Boo! Halloween Tag

Happy Friday! It has been a long day today, but a good one!!!

To start the day was a little chilly and rainy, but so gorgeous as more fall colors are peeking out. I spent some time outside just enjoying the sights and the cooler air. I was able to substitute today and was blessed to be with a bunch of kiddos and making relationships with those who work at the school. And then this evening, I group of ladies that I love dearly got together for bible study and what a blessing to share in God's word. Tonight my heart is overwhelmed with joy!

I'm continuing tonight with my 31 Days of October projects. Tonight I have another tag to share. This one was really easy to put together and could be massed produce if you need lots of tags for this Halloween without much effort at all.

The file I used for this is from Treasure Box Designs.

It is literally five pieces of paper (and some eyes which can either be cut out and glued on or just stamped on to make it even easier), ribbon, a button, and some twine. I got my moon, bat, and ghost from the Boo-ti-ful You file from Treasure Box Designs. I am using the same tag that I have used the last several days with the other tags I have made. 

So pick out your papers. My design paper is from Doodlebug Design's Ghouls and Goodies collection. I cut the base layer of the tag in black and then the design paper and glued it to the base. The moon was cut in a pale yellow and inked with three colors of Memento Ink - Dandelion, Cantelope, and Potter's Clay - to give it a nice glowing effect. Apply them in the order I listed keeping the color closer the edges with each new color. I use a make-up sponge to apply the ink. I glued the bat and ghost to the moon and then used foam tape to attach it all to the tag. I cut a couple of strips of ribbon and threaded them through the hole in the tag that I made with a hole punch. I then secure the ribbon with the button and some Totally Orange Trendy Twine. To finish it off, add a fun sentiment. Mine is from the My Craft Spot's Batty for You stamp set (unfortunately this company is closed).

Christmas, Perhaps...

Who doesn't have a Grinch around at Christmas!!! LOL!

Today I am sharing a card using a file from

Treasure Box Designs.

Hopefully this Christmas you can teach your Grinch that Christmas has nothing to do with what you get or what you have to buy, but everything to do with what you give from the heart. Christmas is a story about God and His giving to us! And in turn we then give love, peace, compassion and so much more to others. I pray that your Christmas, as it is quickly coming upon us, will be full of all things loving, good, and kind!

The card measures 4 3/4 x 4 3/4" square. The background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Kraft in Color collection. The Grinch file is actually called Bobble Buddies Grouch and is from Treasure Box Designs. This file will be retiring soon and is only .80 cents right now. There are several other files including all the Bobble Buddies, Treasure Tots, Tiny Treasures, and Sports Tots also for .80 cents. The scalloped oval is from Spellbinders and is stamped with a sentiment from My Craft Spot that is no longer available. I hope you enjoyed this fun card!

You're My Sweet Teddy Bear...

Happy Monday to you all!!! Today is going to be an awesome day! You ask why... Well, Just Because!!! This is the day the Lord has made after all!!!

 

If you remember, a couple of weeks ago, I had a celebration giveaway on my Facebook page. Well one of my prizes was a custom card. My winner wanted a birthday card and I have it finished and ready to share with all of you today.

 

I am using the Make a Wish file from Treasure Box Designs. The bear is so cute hanging on to his sweet gift box. He is ready to open it up and see what goodies lie inside!

 

 

The card is A2 size. All the patterned papers are from Doodlebug Design's Hip Hip Hooray collection. The background papers are cut using the My Creative Time Rectangular Stitched Dies. The decorative border strip was created with a Martha Stewart punch as well. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Beary Special Thoughts stamp set. On the inside, the card is also stamped with a Happy Birthday sentiment from My Craft Spot.

SVG Attic Guest Designer - Baby Boy Gift Box

I'm excited to be Guest Designing again today for SVG Attic!

 

I am still in the baby mood!!! Sssh! I have a baby shower to help plan soon, so it is on my mind!!!

 

For this fun gift box, I used the Cottontail Bunny Kit and the Baby Boy Kit.

 

 

 

I really like to watch little boys when they are fascinated by a plane, train, or automobile. If fact, some cute little plastic transportation toys might be the perfect thing to stuff in this box. It would also be the perfect size for some socks or onesies to give you a few ideas. The finished box is 5" W x 3.5" H x 1.75" L (deep). I used Canvas Corp's Blue and Ivory Dot cardstock. To close the top of the box I used some Totally Natural Trendy Twine. I added a tag from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags stamp set.
