Fishing You a Happy Father's Day!

It's my turn to share again this month on the Trendy Twine blog as we celebrate Dads!

Today I am using the Krazy for Kraft and Blue Berry Trendy Twine along with the Clear Take Out Boxes to make this super fun treat for Dad.

I started out by wrapping my Blue Berry twine around the box about 3/4" along the bottom to make my body of water. I then stamped my sentiment (wood block sentiment from HL) on my banner from MKC, inked the edges, and attached it to the box. Next I assembled the fish file from Treasure Box Designs. Head to the store and type fishing into the search box and you will find this guy as part of the Catch of the Day file. I attached one end of my Krazy for Kraft twine to my fish's mouth, threaded it behind my banner and tied it to the handle of my box, tying it off with a bow. In the box, I put some yummy Gummy Worms.

I hope you have enjoyed my Dad's Day inspiration and that you will drop by the Trendy Twine blog to see all the inspiration the Gals have shared this month.

Thanks for dropping by today. I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages or find me on Instagram @mmirandcreations to follow all of my paper crafting inspiration.

Blessings,

#1 Dad w/ Trendy Twine!

Happy Weekend Trendy Twiners!!!! So glad for a three day weekend with my family and then when school resumes Tuesday the countdown begins. We will only have 9 days left. Yeah!

All of the Trendy Gals are counting down to Fathers' Day as well as we have spotlighted the Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine and 3x3x3 Kraft Boxes all month long making special projects for our very special dads. We hope you have been joining us on the Trendy Twine blog to see all the goodies!

Today is my day to share:

I have made a gift set using both the twine and the Kraft Box.

I started by covering my box using a piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Day collection by Echo Park. I also cut a A2 sized card base and then cut a piece of the patterned paper at 4 1/4" W x 4 1/2 H. I attached it to the front of the base leaving an 1" space at the bottom. I then took my twine and wrapped it three times around the box and then once around the card tying that piece off in bow. The cut file is from Miss Kate Cuttables and is called Number 1 Dad Title. I cut all my pieces for both the box and the card, pieced them together, and attached them foam squares. I also used a wooden block stamp purchased from HL to stamp the sentiment on my card. I really like how they turned out!!! It will be so fun to stuff some treats into the box and give the set to my hubby or to Opa.

Here are the products I used from the Trendy Twine store:

Super Dad!

I was so excited to be able to make my husband a Superman card for Father's Day. For his gift, the kids and I took him to see Man of Steel. My husband is a rock in our family. Life is richer and fuller just having him around. We are blessed to have someone who cares about us and cares for us. I appreciate everything he does!

For this card I used several SVG files from various companies. The Superman is from a file called Super Kid found at SVG Cutting Files. The badge is from Pretty Papers Pretty Ribbons. The cityscape is from SVG Cuts in a kit called New Year's Eve. The DP is Echo Park (Hello Summer Paper Pack).I used Papertrey Ink cardstock for the base. My husband was so excited about this card. He said that it is going straight to his office.

I will be entering this into the Paper Playtime Challenge - Anything Goes.

Hope you all have enjoyed celebrating the Dads in your life this Father's Day!
