Happy Birthday to You Friend!

I had joined a card swap where the challenge was to make a card using pink and black only. It was a bit harder to come up than it sounded like it would be when I joined the swap. The pink patterned paper is from Basic Grey. I can't remember the paper packs name (sorry). The silhouette on the front is from SVG Cuts (svgcuts.com) in the collection called Kate's Silhouettes. The pink and black cardstock and the button are from my stash. The card is a Joy Fold Card. It is only the 2nd of this type I have made as I just learned the technique for it this month. I found an excellent tutorial at Split Coast Stampers by Beate Johns. Check it out and give this card fold a try. I saw a bunch of cute cards using the technique when I was searching the web. When opened the sentiment reads "Happy Birthday to You Friend." The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company and comes in the Maggie Girl (It's Your Birthday) set. I am entering this card into four challenges. Hope you like it!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

I thought I would try to slip in at the last and enter into Jaded Blossom's April Showers Brings May Flowers Challenge. For this challenge you must use a stamp from Jaded Blossom. I recently bought my first and only set - Wedding Wishes - so of course that is what I used. I'm really liking how this card turned out! I made a joy fold card using white cardstock from Papertrey Ink. My designer cardstock is from the Simply Spring collection by We R Memory Keepers. I use Memento ink to ink all my edges. And the umbrella die cut is from Miss Kate Cuttables. The file is called "Rainy Day Bear." A big thanks to Beate over at Splitcoast Stampers for the card tutorial. Enjoy!

Welcome Spring!

I want to join in the fun at SVG Cutting Files. Challenge #3 is Spring Things. I used one of their freebies called Spring Lady to make this adorable card. My paper comes the Simply Spring collection from We R Memory Keepers and the cardstock is AC Cardstock. The stamp for the sentiment is from the Bunnies and Blossoms stamps made by SVG Cuts and sold at Unity Stamps. I had to resize my Ladybug to get her to fit the orientation of the card. This is such a simple and fun card to make!

Once Upon a Springtime

For my card I used an array of piecings from a few of my favorite companies. I really like how this turned out. It is so fresh and bright and springy which is just what I need. Not that it gets that cold around here in Southeastern New Mexico, but with the lack of rain/snow we have had in the last four years everything is just dry and yellow. Well as for my card, I used pieces from SVG Cuts April Avenue and Mary's stamp set Bunnies and Blossoms which are now available from Unity Stamps, Easter Bunnies from My Scrap Chick, and Cute as a Bunny from Scrapping Bug Designs. I used a couple different brands of cardstock and my background paper is from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 Paper Pad bought from All Scrapbook Steals. (I've recently seen this paper pad at HL as well.) I will be entering this into the following challenges:

Here Comes Little Cotton Tail ...

I was able to finish a LO I had started using the Poplar Street Tulips SVG kit from svgcuts.com. I had started the LO last year right after the kit was released, but I had put it aside. Last weekend I decided to get it back out and finish it.

The paper is We R Memory Keepers Cotton Tails which also came out last year. My daughter really likes this, so instead of adding it to a scrapbook we are going to frame it and hang it in her room for a time. Enjoy!
