Let's get started with this Christmas Party!
For my project, I created two cards:
The first one is made using files from the North Pole Buddies and Night Before Christmas collections from Treasure Box Designs. This elf is a real cutie!!! The patterned papers are from Doodlebug Design's Sugarplums collection. I cut the svg banner from a freebie set from Basic Grey that I altered a bit and it is stamped with a 'Absolutely No Peeking' sentiment from My Craft Spot which unfortunately is no longer available.
I had a lot of fun making these cards for you and I hope you are enjoying the hop!!!

The Merry Christmas reindeer card uses the newest Bobble Buddies Reindeer cut file also from Treasure Box Designs and the background paper is also from the Sugarplums collection. With the generic winter background, I could have used about any sentiment I wanted, and, for instance, made it a birthday card, Thinking of You, Just Because, and so on; but I went with the Christmas sentiment to stick with today's theme. The sentiment is also from My Craft Spot and is no longer available.
I had a lot of fun making these cards for you and I hope you are enjoying the hop!!!
For my blog candy, to one lucky FOLLOWER who leaves a COMMENT on this post, I am offering:

(Updated 11/23/2015 - These tags have been added back to the Treasure Box Designs store. You can find them in the $1 section.)
Here is a close up of the top of the tag:
Two prizes equals two chances to win here on my blog!!! The tags will only be shipped to addresses in the USA. The free file from Treasure Box Designs is open to anyone!

I'm in love with these cards! They are adorable! I would so love to be able to do these! Are the cut files easy to do as I am a beginner!???
ReplyDeleteSandi, I think that are easy to use, but I also know that I had to go through a learning curve just like with any crafting technique I learn. My suggestion is to go to the Treasure Box Designs facebook page and look at the videos that are there. You can also search Treasure Box Designs in YouTube and see the videos that come there. I am a visual learner and that is how I started. From there, you will pick up more techniques as you practice. Sometimes I wish I had posted my early cards here on the blog. I didn't start out knowing how to ink and chalk my pieces;but when I learned how to do it, it made a huge difference. I hope you will give it a try. I think paper piecing is a super fun way to make cards. It is like creating little art pieces to give away to friends and family.
DeleteHugs, Melissa

Very colorful! Love the die-cuts. So very blessed that you joined our Word Art Wednesday Challenge last week. We just started a new one and we would like for you to link with us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word in Colossians 2:6-7 which tells us, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Have a wonderful week...
