Wedding Cupcake Toppers!

Happy Tuesday!!! Today is my day to share on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

So a couple of weeks back, a friend for mine asked me to help her out with some cupcake toppers to decorate for her son's and his bride's wedding shower. Well since her son has been one of my favorite people since he was about 5 years old, I just couldn't say no. I knew I would have something in my Jaded Blossom stash that would be perfect!

My friend let me know that the wedding colors are gold and pink so this is what I came up with. I used the Stitched Circle Dies and embossed on the circles either a heart from Heart Splatters or the "love you" sentiment from Cupid Airlines using gold Zing embossing powder. The scallop circle is a freebie from SVG Cuts. Below is a picture I was able to snap at the shower with my phone. Not the best picture, but still shows how cute they are!

We attached them to toothpicks to insert them ineo the cupcake. The "love you" sentiment is one of my all time sentiments from Jaded Blossom. I just love the font!!!

May Flowers! Day 5 of the Jaded Blossom March Release!

Today is the day - the Jaded Blossom March Release happens at 4 PM PST. But this morning we have one more stamp set and the freebie to reveal.

Today's sets are Wild and Free and this month's freebie, May Flowers!

For my card, I have used the May Flowers freebie stamp:

I used the Card Mat Dies and Scallop Rectangle Dies 2 to frame my stamp. I used Doodlebug's Rainbow Petite Prints for the paper. The base if Kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink and I colored my stamp with Prismacolor colored pencils. This will make a fun card to give on May 1 along with bouquet of flowers for May Day.

Spring Cleaning! Day 4 of the Jaded Blossom March Release!

March Release with Jaded Blossom is at Day 4 and today we are sharing Cleaning Icons and Spring Cleaning. I used them both, along with the Goody Bag Die and Kawaii Cleaning, to come up with a fun way to encourage my children to do a few extra chores during Spring Break.

I am going to be using these 3 bags and a few more that I will be making to allow my kids to earn some extra money. The plan is to fill each bag with some candies along with a dollar amount. The catch is that the kiddos won't know how much each chore is worth. The bag will be glued sealed at the top and then of course still decorated with the fun twine. I am going to set the bags out and they can choose to a bag if they are willing to do a chore. Once the chore is done, then they can have the bag with all it contents. It will be interesting to see which of the three will want the money and which would rather just make Spring Break a break!!! LOL! I am hoping they will take the chores so I can have the break! But if not, I guess I will do the chores and keep the money for crafting supplies!

Pixie! Day 3 of the Jaded Blossom March Release!

It's Day 3 of the Jaded Blossom March Release sneak peeks and today we are sharing one sweet fairy or Fairy Sweet as the stamp set is called!

I made a tag using the new stamp set and the Luggage Tag Die and I wrapped it around some hand soap from Bath and Body using crinkle ribbon! I used my Prismacolor colored pencils to color her.

Think of all the fun occasions that this could be used for. The stamp set has lots of fun sentiments to go along with the fairy. You can get a sneak at the complete set further down in my post.

Weather the Storm Together! Day 2 of the Jaded Blossom March Release!

It's Day 2 of the Jaded Blossom March Release sneak peeks and I just love today's stamp sets. We are sharing Kawaii Weather and Rain or Shine! 

The Kawaii Weather stamp set has the cutest characters with several face choices that are just perfect!!! For the card, I also used the Rectangle Dies 1 and the Scallop Circle Dies. The circle dies were used to make a template so that I could ink the circles using Stormy Sky Distress Ink on the background. I colored my characters with Copic Markers. I definitely need more practice with it, but I think they turned out cute!

I used a sentiment from the new Rain or Shine stamp set on the card above and a sentiment from Cupid Airlines on the Ric Rac Topper below. Both sentiments were heat embossed using a Versamark Ink Pad and Zing Embossing Powder.

Sheep Gift Card Holder! Day 1 of the Jaded Blossom March Release!

It's Day 1 of the March Release Week for Jaded Blossom and my day to take over the SVG Cutting Files Blog. So today's project  uses the sweet new Sheep Gift Card Holder that will be available in the  SVG Cutting Files store on Friday and from Jaded Blossom - the new Flower Dies and the new Peacock stamp set. There is also a new Tropical Flower Dies set from Jaded Blossom. Check out further down this post for a peek at all three of today's Jaded Blossom release goodies.

Here is my Gift Card Holder:

I cut my sheep svg file first. This thing was super easy to assemble. It took no time at all. Of course, before putting it together, I added some dimension by inking the edges of all the pieces. I used a Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad and some Zing Embossing Powder to add the sentiment. Once the sentiment was heated, I glued the pieces together and added my diecut flower to her ear. Then all that is necessary is to stick in a gift card and give it to someone to put a smile on their face!!! I think this sheep would also make a fun puppy gift card holder by changing the papers you use to make it. And isn't that sentiment perfect! I love the font!
