Patriotic Gems!

I so enjoy the Red, White, and Blue combination of 4th of July crafting!!!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I have made for Treasure Box Designs using the Little Gems Patriotic collection. These little guys are so sweet!

The cards are A2 Size (4 1/4" x  5 1/2").

The background paper is from Doodlebug Design's Patriotic Picnic. The border strip in the middle was made with a Martha Stewart punch. Both the sweet boy and girl were inked and chalked to add dimension and character. I think they look so cute all dressed up for the 4th of July festivities!!!

I'm so glad you stopped by today. I invite you to visit my Facebook and Pinterest pages as well. And you can find me on Instagram @mmirandacreations.

The weekend is coming. I hope you enjoy it! I will be participating in the Sweet Summertime blog hop sponsored by Trendy Twine and SVG Attic. The fun begins on Saturday morning. Come on by and see how you can have a chance to win some great prizes.

Many Blessings,

  3. Hi Melissa, I am just curious as to what paper you use for your faces/arms (flesh). I had something I used years ago when my friend owned a scrappin store and haven't been able to find anything I really like since then. Yours looks perfect! Thanks so very much!

    1. Thank you for asking! I'm glad you like my paper choice. Finding a good paper for flesh is a lot harder than it should be. I'll send you a link in response to the email you sent me. Have a fabulous weekend!

  6. Saw these when I entered at DL.ART June Linky. These are adorable. For flesh colored paper I use 2 different: core'dinations Chocolate Malt Smooth that I buy at JoAnns (they have a sale on paper/cardstock this coming 4th of Jul weekend) and I also bought some other flesh colored at Hobby Lobby (not recalling since they do not have labels on the cardstock like core'dinations).
