Popcorn Shoppies Card!

Several days ago I shared a Popcorn Shoppies Gift Card Holder with you. I had a client ask me if I could make the same thing, only this time make it a card. So today I have the Popcorn Shoppies Card to share using the Shoppies Junk Food file from Treasure Box Designs.

Isn't he cute!!! And what a super fun way to say Happy Birthday! The card base is A2 size and I made the popcorn oversized just the way I like it at the movie theatre!!! The white background panel is die cut using the Card Mat Dies from Jaded Blossom. I also used a JB sentiment from the 100% Hipster stamp set. I attached my popcorn box and the three extra kernels to the card using foam tape.

Shoppies Junk Food - Popcorn Gift Card Holder

I have a project for you from Treasure Box Designs today!!!

Dina has been making these super fun Shoppies files and I have used one of them to make a super cute gift tag to share with you today.

I used the Popcorn Shoppie from the new Shoppies Junk Food collection.

I started with a gift card holder cut from the Jaded Blossom Folding Gift Card Die. Before attaching anything to the outside of the gift card holder, I used the JB Gift Card Die to cut out a place on the inside to attach a gift card to the movies. I then added the insert piece from the JB Goody Bag Die to the outside in white. I cut my Treasure Box Designs' Shoppie out with my Cameo making it large enough to hang over the top of the gift card holder. I wanted it to really stand out!!! I cut some extra pieces of popcorn and attached them to the front as well. I had stamped the "#happybirthday" stamp from Jaded Blossom's 100% Hipster stamp set in the bottom corner before adding my paper piecings. I think these Shoppies files with their big eyes are just the cutest and would work for so many fun projects!!!

Jaded Blossom February Release Blog Hop - Sweet Baby Bunny!

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to Jaded Blossom's February 2016 Release Blog Hop.

Now if you're here from Jamie's Blog you're in the right place. If you're just passing through, start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing. I have the complete line up at the bottom.
Here is what I made:

Don't you just love when Spring comes around and everything is fresh and new! Me too!!! And nothing could be better than a sweet treat in Spring to celebrate it all. You could also change the sentiment on the card and give this for a variety of occasions!

For the card, I stamped the background with the new Spring Splatters stamp set. I also die cut the top layer of the smaller bow from the new Bow Dies set as well as two tags from Mini Tag Dies 2. On one of the tags, I stamped the "What's New" sentiment from the new Hey Chickie stamp set. I then attached the tags to the bow and placed the bow on the bunny's ear. I love how the tags make the bow to look as if it has long bow tails.

I used the same technique on the background of my treat box using the new Spring Splatters. I again die cut the small bow with the original tail from the new Bow Dies and attached it to the handle of my box.

The Fancy Label Card Base, Scallop Trapezoid Handle Bag, and the Sweet Baby Bunny files are all from SVG Cutting Files. The background papers are from Authentique's Sweetness Collection and the grass paper is from Doodlebug Design's Springtime collection.

Butterflies - Jaded Blossom Release Week Day 5!

Today's Stamp Set: Butterflies- $15.99

Here's what I created

I think this new Butterflies stamp set is just beautiful and can be used in so many ways.

I chose to do a watercoloring technique using Distress Inks which is new to me. It took a couple of tries, but I figured it out and I absolutely love the results. I used the Card Mat Dies to cut out the background paper using the Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Once my background was dry, I added the butterflies and the sentiment from today's stamp set - Butterflies. I used Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade, and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks. I finished off the card by adding some Matte Sprinkles from Doodlebug. For the gift bag, I used a bag from SVG Cuts and again used the watercoloring technique with the same Distress colors. For the scalloped circle tag, I used Mini Tag Dies 2 and stamped another of the butterfly stamps.

A Note to Chirp You Up - Jaded Blossom Release Week Day 4!

It is release week on the Jaded Blossom Blog! Everyday this week, we will have sneaks of all the new Jaded Blossom goodies being released on Friday and we hope you will join us!!!

Today we are sharing projects using the new Hey Chickie stamp set! There are lots of super cute sentiments on this one and I love the little chick images too!!!

Here is my card and gift tag set:

I just knew that the kraft paper would compliment this cute little chick well!!! For this project, I also used Spring Splatters, Card Mat Dies, Luggage Tag Dies, and the Stitched Circle Dies. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs' Sunkissed collection.

I can think of a ton of people that I would like to send this card to, but I will have a hard time parting with it since it turned out so stinkin' cute!!! I may have to make a few more. LOL! And this cute tag is perfect for attaching to a mason jar full of brown crinkle paper and Easter egg candies!!!

Hello - Jaded Blossom Release Week Day 2!

It is release week on the Jaded Blossom Blog! Everyday this week, we will have sneaks of all the new Jaded Blossom goodies being released on Friday and we hope you will join us!!!

Today we are sharing projects using the new Spring Splatters and Funny Bunny stamp sets.

I have two projects for you today. One for each stamp set.

Spring Splatters

For my card, I used the butterfly splatter to decorate the smaller panel in a soft pink. The background paper is from Authentique's Sweetness 6x6 paper pad and I die cut it with the Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies. The smaller panel is cut with using the Goody Bag Die. The butterfly is from SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Bug Lollipop Covers set and cut out using more papers from the same Authentique collection. I finished it off by stamping the sentiment Hello from the Jaded Blossom Simple Sayings stamp set. It is and A2 card.

Funny Bunny

I then made a treat bag using my favorite water taffy candies. Yum!!! For the bag topper, I used the Scalloped Slider and Topper Die. I cut the decorative panel using Echo Park's Sunny Days Ahead 6x6 paper pad. The peeking Bunny is from Miss Kate Cuttables. The sentiment banner was die cut using the Mini Tag Dies 2 and stamped with a sentiment from the new Funny Bunny stamp set.

And now for my project!

It is so much fun to take a look back at all the fun toys we had as kids!!! And my wooden spinning top with the string is from a time even before my generation. Haha!!! Let me know in the comments if any of you had one of these!!! I was so glad to find the background paper and the wood paper that I used for my top in my stash. It is from the Echo Park This & That 6x6 paper pad. The Kawaii Spinning Top is from SVG Cutting Files and you can find it here. From Jaded Blossom, I used the Card Mat Dies, Mini Tag Dies 2, and the Encouragement stamp set.
